Using The Crucible didn't seem necessary for any of the endings and only seems to put in place a hurdle for additional games. I frankly don't get what would be left to explore in a follow up game if intra-galactic travel is borked.

I bought my original 580GTX at a similar price right when it was introduced. I definitely got the worth out of it but it was definitely not cheap. At that price, I only would go for it to replace dead hardware where I only went for it when one of my cards in my SLI setup died.

I am in the same situation again where I don't will not go for a 680GTX unless my current 580GTX dies.

Isn't a reoccurring "theme" to Mass Effect is that some game play elements end up iffy but Bioware hastily abandons them? The Mako is just a reflection of that. It wasn't all bad but there were some really poor parts to driving. That doesn't mean we hate driving but that we simply wanted better handling.

Frankly the Mako and planet scanning are both okay ideas for a game about interstellar exploration but the way Bioware implemented them was not great. Instead of trying to tweak and improve them, they junked them. The best situation would be including both: Sometimes you need to land and scope out the situation in the Mako while sometimes you can just scan the planet from orbit. They could have just tweaked how the driving handled and how scanning worked and covered a lot of the elements of exploring (an element of 4X) but it wasn't bothered with.

I don't have a problem with any charity regulating and rejecting donors. After all why would Child's Play want their name and brand used in support of causes they don't agree with? Otherwise someone from the MPAA (or worse) could start a Child's Play donation run too.

@Jost1: It was not a problem that driving around a planet exploring and searching was a bad idea. The problem was the implementation was poor which resulted in an annoyance. I would have no problem with them bringing back driving and planetary exploring but they got to make it behave better.

Mass Effect: Marauder Shields Origins.

Will Mass Effect: Marauder Shields 2 mostly abandon its predecessor for a more action combat game but messed up with repetitive copy-pasta caves and bases featuring a story that has little to nothing to do with Marauder Shields?

The fact some cling to "The Indoctrination Theory" is a worrying issue as well. Unsatisfactory endings happen in books and movies and games. Having fans try to make sense of "they just made a bad ending" by jumping through logical hoops is a modern element born in the Internet Age and worrisome as well.

This feels more like a reflection on EA and Bioware. They've been doing this for awhile but as time goes on they seem more and more dubious and more and more like cash grabs. I'm not entirely sure anyone was thinking "Mass Effect sure needs armor themed from Dragon Age and Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning!" but they went out and did it anyway.

I'll treat Mass Effect 4 like Halo 4. "Thanks but no thanks. Wouldn't you like to try to build something new?"

Were loading times for the PS3 version a problem? I can't tell...it isn't speedy but it isn't problem either. The most obvious lengthy load is crossing the Historia Crux but otherwise when moving about the world it seems fine to me.
