Worst Game I Played This Year?

A tepid attempt to mix Fallout's ideal of an unusual setting and myriad character choice both in realm of development and decision making, the SPECIAL system here is just as much a bastardization of the original as it was in Fallout 3.
The Italian Renaissance theme was interesting at first, but became overwhelmingly mundane once the realization came that most RPGs tend to borrow from this general time-period for both aesthetic and weapon/item content. The same can be said of the game itself, which provides plenty of playability for a variety of different character types throughout the first half, yet devolves into hack & slash once you leave the initial city of Barcelona.
There's nothing wrong with hack & slash games, but this was a lapse in the game's intended effect and it also unbalances the game for now-gimped diplomatic characters.
