I really hope they end up going back to OG Dragon Ball after finishing Kai.

Honestly thought this week's wasn't happening either because it wasn't showing up on the schedule like it usually does.

I'll just reiterate my posts that I make every week (with a twist). Hope they give abridged a shot once they're done with Kai. This particular stretch of episodes were absolutely gold in that (probably their peak imo). And it also has the added benefit of showing a few things every now and then that were cut out of kai but were worth watching/knowing about due to being fun.

And then there's the fact that you can nearly get through all of season 1, (raditz to vegeta), in the amount of time it takes to watch 5 regular episodes. Would be fun to see impressions of abridged as kind of an epilogue/post credits scene of sorts for this main podcast where they cover it for a few weeks.

We're 6 episodes in, you should already know by now that this isn't going to make them watch it and they have already said they have no interest in Abridged or any other formats besides Kai.

Also, Abridged is kinda bad and not worth their time.

Nah, they had an issue with people telling them to watch this version instead of that etc or watch this anime as well and do a podcast etc. They've said nothing about not willing to check out more Z related stuff after they're done with Kai.

Also, that's just your opinion man. I and millions of others find Abridged to be great and it has actually become my preferred way to rewatch the show. Let them decide in the end. I am just stating my hopes, rather than hounding them to watch something.

I really hope they decide to check out abridged once they're done with DBZ Kai. From the comments they make here and there about certain characters and events, almost guaranteed that they'll get a kick out of it.

@furiousjodo: Have you watched DBZ before? If not, it's totally understandable that you'd zoom ahead. Heck, I've watched this whole thing and know how everything's gonna go, and I still find myself tempted to go ahead. It's just one of the most compelling/watchable shows out there.

This is me right now. I decided to start watching Kai alongside these podcasts and I just finished watching ep 21 which is what will be the last one they cover in the next one. Feel super tempted to just go on ahead, having to stop myself. While I haven't really seen the kai edit aside from a few eps here and there, I've watched the original and abridged tons of times.

Oh my god! What the... I hadn't visited the site over the past week or so. Right before coming here I was thinking, "man... I miss Metal Gear Scanlon, wish they could do something like that again"

Absolutely did not expect a continuation of the series with Rising. And all parts at once? Awesome.

I hope they do something similar with another series, though I don't know what that could be.

"So here's this giant enemy crab..."

This is E3 at its best. I don't think it reached this level of greatness again until Mr. Caffeine showed up a few years later.

Nah, E3 reached untouchable status with 2010 and is still yet to be beaten. That infamous Konami conference.
