Easing back from the firefighting gives you a better chance of healing and reviving. You can also watch the flanks and spot for teammates while you're at it.
@Frenchie108: there's been a tradition of the past numbered Battlefield entries (1942 and 2) where DICE would release spinoffs of their game (on PC at least).
After Battlefield 1942 came Vietnam
After Battlefield 2 came 2142
I'm crossing my fingers that DICE chooses some sort of crazy setting again for their next entry (I hope it's 2142!) and throw in the dudes from the Bad Company games. This was mentioned in the GB podcast recently and I was nodding my head feverishly.
When the enemy tank appears: hide in the dumpster and lob frags at it until it's disabled. Then jump out and attach C4 to the meanie before returning to the dumpster and remote detonating the C4.
I'm totally okay with noob tubing mainly because I'm guilty of being one myself in BC2. Got at least 2 platinum stars for the Carl Gustav and I don't regret a thing; blowing people up behind walls and when they clutter together made me airpump my fist each time
Do what I do and move through the battlefield like a champ and don't run out anywhere to expose yourself. Move from cover to cover and have the patience to maneuver while prone or crouching in order to avoid being seen. Most of the deaths I've had in a firefight are from a guy advancing like a ninja while on his belly.
It also helps to never stay in one area for more that 5 seconds. Trust me I've been playing battlefield since '42 and that is the most sound strategy you can fall back to; flanks are what win gunfights
Battlefield isn't all about the body count fellas, Lay waste to a couple vehicles, or crash a jet into the ground mere seconds after takeoff, that's where the fun is.
preferably you can do all of this before you leave your main base at the beginning of the round
