Just Cause 2 is brilliant.

So it's been a while since I've played a game that has been on my brain while I'm doing other things.  I think Rock Band may be the last one that has struck me with that affliction, and Pokemon HeartGold does a good job staying with me, but that's just because the Pokewalker is physically staying with me.  However, Just Cause 2 is making me angry that I have a real life.  I think the major reason why is that I want to be doing what Rico does, cause he's hardcore.  I want to shoot dudes with a revolver from 1000 feet away.  I want to base jump from the highest mountain only to use my grapple hook on the ground to survive the fall.  I want people to chant my name as I blow up things in succession.  Is this a cry for help?  Is my desire to create CHAOS(wordz on fire) a desperate plea for attention?  Maybe so, but the journey so far is awesome.  All that saying if you haven't played this game, play that shit.

LOL right!  The first time I heard that I was like "Oh man I am the shit."  That game surprises me with something new and fun every time I start it up.

I'm pretty obsessed with this game too. I spend endless hours just flying around from dot to dot on the map, collectin, killin, blowin stuff up and straight wowing myself at how awesome I am.

This game just drops you into the world, gives you incredible powers, gives you a thin explanation as to why you're killing everyone you come across, and then sets you lose. Bull in a china shop? More like Godzilla.

Make no mistake this game is repetitive as hell, but when what is being repeated is soooo awesome I have no problem doing it over and over and over and over and over again. The longer I play, the better I get, the better I get, the funner it is. There are so many games that I'm dying to get to but I'm pretty convinced that I'm gonna be playing this thing straight until Red Dead comes out, and beyond.

In the midst of all this commotion over motion control, plot development, morality systems and graphical powerhouses Just Cause threw it all out the window and screamed FUN in our faces - and then blew our faces off.

Just Cause 2 effin rules saradadu.

If you get these powers, tell me where you live so I don't become a victim.

Despite Rico being set up as a CIA agent, the guy is practically a superhero.  Come to think of it, that grapple gun kind of makes him come off like Spider Man, only this Spider Man doesn't have any problem blasting people.

Can you grapple on one of those fuel tanks when it launches vertically?  Or does it not have enough lift to launch you into the air?

Ya you totally can.  You basically have to shoot it first, then you get a split second to grapple it before it takes off.  I died on the first mission doing that cause I was so stoked about it and I still didn't have the controls down.  It was high comedy.

I absoluetely love the game so far. The tiniest details are included, from  all the wildlife in forrests, to the Flying Nightclub! I was so amazed when i saw this tiny flying thing in the distance, so i took my plane and flew closer to it, only to realise it was huge!!

Quite an amazing game if i may say so.

I think about that everytime I play - it's like reverse Spiderman.

One could easily re-skin this game, turn his "gadgets" into "powers" and you'd have a pretty kickass superhero game on your hands.

@ProfessorEss:@fleethefactory:

If you can do something like this, I wonder if re-skinning would even be necessary.  Guy is the new face of superheroes.

If you have it on PC there's a bunch of Rico reskin mods already out, don't recall seeing spiderman specifically though.  I agree though, its a ton of fun to blow up military bases, capture helicopters and then chute away.  Then next moment you're standing on a cliff-face watching a sunrise, or noticing an (actual) scorpion scurrying across the desert.  So much fun and so epically beautiful.
