Because every super guy needs a fat guy and his long rambles at the end of fights are great. Why are they that long anyway? Maybe he's a secret genius but doesn't want to show it in order to maintain how cool he is, like Einstein-level genius. If he wanted to he could probably figure out the cure to all of the world's illnesses. But with a tash and a belly like that, it's not worth his time.
