@FmeDry69: So does the Vita version of MK, once the fighting starts it looks great.

Vita version of the MK uses the OLED's full 960x544 resolution. Golden Abyss only runs at 720x408, even lower than standard definition(720x480)

@JBG4: yeah he blew it when he mentioned Uncharted, completely debunked everything he was saying about MK.

Nathan looks more realistic with Uncharted 1 looking more cartoony in the character model department. And come to the chat and accept my friend request. I seriously want to have a conversation so we can clear this up

@FmeDry69: Exactly, it is running at a lower resolution. Meaning it had to sacrifice certain things for the Vita, the same is said of MK.

If you do have a PS3 I would reccommend jumping into BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger first, it explains some of the systems better than other games in the series, that in a way, assume that you already know certain things. you can pick it up fairly cheap on Amazon now. However, the BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend for Vita isn't priced very much higher than Calamity Trigger and is a perfectly serviceable entry point into the series. I love the games, they are difficult but extremely rewarding.

But Golden Abyss runs at 720x408. The Vita screen is 960x544. Mortal Kombat is much higher resolution than Golden Abyss. Golden Abyss doesn't even utilize the OLED screen at all with its pathetic resolution, whereas MK does

@FmeDry69: No I totally did, but obviously the graphics were distracting/upsetting enough to come and make a whole thread about it. You seem to be in the minority of people who have a problem with it, so if you think they're that bad, then just play the console version.

That's like somebody not being upset with a new ps3 game or a 360 port looking like an above average PS2 game. Does it ruin the game? Obviously not, but the graphics are one of the several components that make up a whole product. It's not like how I say Resistance(the first one) has bad graphics. Sure they're bad, but they look much better than anything last gen consoles were capable of. Just like Vita is much more capable than the last gen graphics of Mortal Kombat

@FmeDry69: You seem to be the only person who is so angry regarding this issue. If you have a point to make it would be best to make it in a respectable manner. If others don't have an issue with it then you need to respect their opinions. You are going about making your point in the absolute wrong way. I see that the graphics may not be as good as its console counterpart, but, it is a full fledged console game on a handheld.

But that's the thing. I am upset because there are other full fledged console ports that look identical and in Golden Abyss' case(an original game), looks better than the first entry in the Uncharted series. I have no problem with respecting other people's opinions on the graphics, but it is a straight out lie that MK on Vita looks EXACTLY the same as its console counterparts while fighting. It's also disheartening that Kratos' psp models look better than his here.

Im going to stop you right there and say Uncharted 1 looks way better than GA.

Golden Abyss runs at a lower resolution, but things like character models and certain textures do look better than Uncharted 1. It only appears worse to you because Golden Abyss doesn't utilize the Vita's full resolution. It runs at 720x408 instead of 960x544, so it looks blurrier and more jagged, but in terms of poly counts, bump mapping, shaders, and textures, Golden Abyss bests Uncharted 1 in most of these respects

@JBG4 Is BlazBlue on Vita a good place to jump into for the series? I've never played a BlazBlue game but I've always been interested.

It was my first one also. It's an excellent game, but extremely nuanced and complex. It's the most difficult fighter out there. I was overwhelmed, but I prefer skillful fighting games

@FmeDry69: That's cool, I have a bunch of friends who agree that this game looks pretty great. If the graphics bug you that much then don't play it. Simple as that.

You clearly did not read my post. I said it's a fantastic game and my only real issue is the graphics.

@FmeDry69: Yeah they are. I've played it quite a bit and unless I'm missing something blatantly obvious they are all static.

I haven't played the game in a while, but I know for a fact there was fireworks going off in one of the stages, and forgot the other stages. I haven't played it in quite some time. 100% static stages would be SSF4 3D Edition
