@Itwastuesday: It releases info that was leaked to them. I suppose all he got was US diplomatic files, so that's why it's releasing only that stuff.
Plus, the US is the most powerful military, currently involved in two wars, stirring up another in the Korean peninsula and knee-deep in whatever happens with Israel and Iran. Because of this, any US documents should guarantee more attention than any other.
