I think that things like this just happen from time to time, I find the Exquisite Corps to be laborious and well past its expiration date, but things like Who's the Big Boss really grab me. When features run their course new ones come up. I was en-fucking-raptured by 13 Deadly Sims for example. I couldnt name a good feature from west coast though, bens lens is funny?
I find the Exquisite Corps to be the best feature on the site and hope that they will just roll into War of the Chosen when they finish Enemy Unknown.
Whenever a live show does not have a video only (as in the front page player), the video stutters all to hell on ps4. Is there a url to the live shows minus chat?
PS4 streaming of live content, specifically been watching Unprofessional Fridays live on the web browser has got really chunky. Often pausing frames or stopping to buffer. Even on an 80 mb downstream i have to watch in low quality on videos. While never the most elegant solution, live broadcasts have become unwatchable. Totally disappointing. I feel like this started getting unwatchable around the launch of GBTV. not sure if there was an update to the video player around then.
@rorie@wcarle: FWIW even more of a minor problem than I thought since going to the Giant Bomb TV Youtube link from within the PS4's internet browser has no issues whatsoever. I can't vote in the poll that way, but I'm not really concerned about that, personally.
One other interesting issue with Giant Bomb TV and PS4, though. I can't seem to access it through the PS4 Youtube App. When I search for the channel it just tells me there are no videos (the live stream doesn't appear on its list of videos), and there doesn't seem to be a way to manually input a video URL into that app (which seems like a dumb oversight on their part, but whatever). Again, not exactly ideal, but these seem like low-priority problems since there's a workable solution on the platform already (namely, watch the Youtube link within the web browser).
My work around is for watching GBTV on the PS4 youtube app is clicking out to youtube in a browser window (which i usually do on a laptop but i don't see why this woulding work on PS4 web browser) and adding the stream to my watch later. Then i can open the youtube app and find a live link in my watch later.
I get desire for consistent framerates, or even just high framerates, but it is disingenuous to say MHW doesn't run properly on consoles unless xbox one has severe issues that haven't been widely reported on.
Scored reviews are lame. Metacritic is lame. The best reviews out there are zero punctuation that doesn't even bother to score them. I get way more out of their discussion on the bombcast. The only problem with that is that those discussions are buried in 3 and half hours of other talk. Who even cares if a game gets a certain number of stars. Those that do care are often more of the problem anyway.
I think my initial reaction was that the japanese have different cultural standards when it comes to sex. There is nothing wrong with appreciating it in that context and it is very imperical to put our cultures hang ups and standards on another. That being said the people who are defensive about taking their sexy fames away are usually not sex positive and open minded.
After GOTY i wondered if the character design was a way to on board the type of people that could use more exposure to philosophy and the deeper ideology hidden in the game. Maybe, maybe not.
I will say that brad misquoted yoko taro about the female character design. When i looked it up, it was more innocent and less pervy than brad made it sound
The super bunnyhop goty video had some great points why it was hus game of 2017. The bigger problem is not the medium or the expression of it, it is the audience. One of the reasons it is so well regarded is the way it trojan horses deeper thinking on the back of a game that seemed like it was designed as fan service
