The recent bombcast discussions of the SNES/Super Famicon have got me jonseing to buy an actual console (not an emulator on a computer). Am I better off buying an actual console (original Nintendo hardware) or something like the Retro Duo? I want to actually play this thing, hooked up to an actual TV. Thoughts?

Any chance of an XBLA release? I remember digging those holes back on the old C64.

Any pointers on how I'm supposed to update the game software itself? It is requiring me to do this before downloading any user levels but in TYPICAL Sony fashion it (nor the Sony web pages) doesn't tell me how to actually do this?

Start the little person out on handhelds, they're more accessible for kids. Also keep your old systems around so they can be exposed to the classics of your gaming generation, it's a great bond.
