i'd like to give this a go.

Playing as a pacifist xenophile alliance builder on harder difficulties is rough. Everyone gets a cool -25 modifier to alliance willingness towards you, and I'm not willing to rival the large bully on my southern flank, since he likes me a bunch. If we all allied against him, everyone would be better off, but because I don't want to antagonise him nobody wants to play ball.

Goddamn Kitsunes all have 1-3% crit rates. there's like 27 of them on the map and if one procs its all over.

Chapter 17 was nightmarish. Goddamn master ninja dodging four ~80% attacks in a row.

Gimme that sick limited XP goodness. Playing Awakening was like a Chinese buffet: good in theory but in practice you gorge yourself.

@bladededge: Duder, this game's whole visual aesthetic and design language is all about despair, loss, and the inevitable victory of malignant corruption.

A gaurenteed win state would be anathema to the stressful state that this game wants you to be in.

@yummylee: I'd add Phantasia to that great list. I played through it with a fan translation a few years ago and it was worth my time for sure.

I haven't played many titles in the series, as I went from GameCube to Xbox 360 to PC, so hopefully this signals a change in platform priority.

@sinusoidal: I'm running a 570 with an ancient CPU (phenom 9550 black? I think? 3.2ghz quad core) and I can run everything on low with 25 fps. If you can take 20ish fps you can run it.

Nerf Mega Gengar. Fucker has shadow tag and is a fucking beast. Chandeluer had shadow tag with a worse typing and shittier stats, and was straight up banned in tournaments.

I'd be interested.
