Two weeks from today, I’ll be on a plane heading toward Whistler, BC Canada for a week long ski trip with my family and local ski club. This is going to be the first time any of us have ever been to Canada, including the guy who’s arranged this trip. Because of this, I’ve been feeling a little under prepared for what should be like any trip I’ve taken to the Rockies.

I was wondering if any of you Canadian duders, or anyone who’s visited the BC area, could chime in and give this uncultured American some suggestions or info to feel better prepared. Is there anything extra I should bring with me that I wouldn’t have if I were staying in country? Are there any delicious I should try out or anything I should bring back with me? If I happen to have a day to myself, is there anything or anywhere I should check out beyond the mountains given the chance?

I’m not looking for answers to all of these, but any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Such sad news, but I'm glad that GB reported on this so that the few of us who still appreciate FMV games could all show our gratitude to one of the true pioneers of the craft.

I believe half of the stadium lights will go out sometime during the 2nd quarter this year.

I learned about this news a few hours ago and I'm still just in shock. I've never had the privilege to meet him or see him in person (a fact that will bother me for a long time I know). Ryan always brought the right balance of class and crass that made everything he was involved with so special. He was a big reason that I listened to the bombcast every week and I'm gonna truly miss that.

I know that nothing and no one will ever replace him and this site may never be the same, but one thing will remain a constant: I will continue to visit and support this site! I wish my deepest condolences to his family and friends who I can tell he had many of both.

A tragedy indeed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

Welcome back Rorie! I'm gonna miss ol' Dave but couldn't be more excited that your finally on board. It's gonna take some getting use to having to say: "Rorie, site's down". Or would it be "Matt, site's down"? We'll figure that one out later. Can't wait to see you on the site and on camera.

I have no idea how I should feel right now. I was reading about how Dave was leaving and saying goodbye and that made me ultra sad, but then I get to the part about Rorie's joining the team and that made me ultra glad. This dramatic swing of emotions has got me caught in some kind of emotional infinite loop and I have no BSOD to get me out of it. Regardless, I'm glad this wont be the last we here from you Dave (the Giant Bomb Flight Club wouldn't be the same without you) so don't be a stranger. I wish all the best to you, your family, and your future endeavors. To commemorate this occasion, I wanted to find something to do with both dragons and puppies and this is what I came across:
