Gamespot Off Topic forums soon after the Jeff firing shit-storm. Somebody made a topic about the all new Arrow Pointing Down podcast. It was the first podcast I ever listened to. I never paid much attention to the former Gamespot editors until all the drama went down, then they had my attention.

As a standard single player FPS game, no way. Valve doesn't do that anymore.

Maybe a product called "Half Life 3" will be released, but it won't be that.

Portal 2 came out in 2011. I wouldn't call 4 years since their last single player FPS game a sign of them retiring it.

I wholly believe it will be released in junction with their VR headset. Maybe not along side it at launch day, but it will be a VR game. I know this because I am Gabe Newell. Also, check out my knives. Also, HL3 isn't coming out.

In any close quarters match, I find that I keep falling to the DL-44 pistol. I could get a few shots in with the default rifle before the opposing enemy even reacts and I still end up dead. At first I thought it was just inept skill on my part, but its been happening pretty regularly against a large number of players.

Does this game need a rebalancing patch or do you think in about a week or two every successful player will be running around with this pistol? Also, this reminds me of the Battlefront 2 days where unless you were rolling with a shotgun, you didn't stand a chance online.

I think I can summarize most of your issues with "This game better fucking ship in November to promote the new movie or your team is FUCKED"

Adding less content and finely polishing the content that is there is a great way to make sure you reach your target date. Postponing any additional content and making some extra cash on it by selling it as DLC is an added bonus for EA/Disney.

Also, emboldening and underlining an entire paragraph makes you seem like a crazy person.

You can have either the emotionless delivery or the emotion fueled delivery (I.E. see the Starship Troopers video). Neither are ideal, but I feel it is ultimately up to the person listening to the news to be intelligent enough to come to their own conclusion about what they are hearing. So I'd say that being given the news in a dry, matter-of-fact fashion is the safest, most neutral way to handle any crisis, or else you might see yourself getting into propaganda territory without realizing it since emotions carry a much heavier weight than words do.

Thank you everybody for your responses! Thanks to you all, I now have a catalog of movies to choose from the next time I'm with the kids.

Babysitting was very successful. I ended up showing them Jurassic Park for their first time. I was shocked to hear they hadn't watched it before. And they both loved it so much, especially the 10 year old. Felt great to introduce them to one of my all time favorites. As for games, the timing worked out perfectly with the Battlefront beta being out and we played that together since they both love Star Wars.

So yeah, Star Wars and Jurassic Park are two things kids love. Who would've thunk it??

I'm just here to say that Gurren Lagann is the greatest anime show I've ever watched. Kay bye.

(Also, that Death Note is pretty dope too)
