I've got babysitting duty this weekend. I tried to tell the parents it was a terrible decision on their part, but here we are anyway. I'm looking after a 10 year old and a 13 year old, both boys. I never had a little brother so I'm hoping to do the things with them that I would have done if I had a little brother. I'm planning a movie/video game night and need your help. I want to show them badass/awesome movies and games, but I am stumped on what to show them. Please recommend me something.
Criteria for movies: Nothing rated R. Nothing too fantastical (i.e. Lord of the Rings, Marvel movies). Something modernish (kids don't like old stuff I guess). Preferred genre is action/adventure/comedy. They like Hunger Games and Divergent, though I would prefer something a little higher quality.
Criteria for games: No rating barrier. Has local multiplayer. On PS4.
This criteria either comes from the parents or the kids themselves, so don't ask me why movie rating is important but game rating isn't. So far I've thought about showing them Skyfall and Rocket League, but I think we can do better than that. Help me out guys!
That's a mighty impressive song you've written. Way to channel these emotions into something productive and creative. I hope the near future brightens up for you.
@travisrex: Oh yeah, I know. And the tweet was a joke about how you can't load a save that doesn't exist...
Just curious since people are mostly against a run through of the series, what makes you all interested in watching a complete play-through of a game? What other games do you all think would fit the space better?

You guys remember this?
I remember this. And I won't ever forget it until it is played. Who here would be hyped about a Metal Gear Scanlon-esque play through of every major-ish Kingdom Hearts game done by Vinny and Austin before KH3 is released?
I figured Vinny and Austin would be a good duo since the series got pretty anime as fuck as it went on, so Austin might dig that and Vinny is the only GB member without a dead heart, so the Disney charm might win him over.
I'm the type of person who plays only "the best" games. This doesn't mean that I'm completely dismissive of games without the raving praise, but that I see sacrificing the limited time that I do have on said games to be a much larger gamble. So that means I have to make sure that every time I play a game, I get some sort of meaningful experience out of it. The best way to ensure this is to go to a game that grasped the majority of its audience.
Side note: this logic doesn't make great sense when you forget to consider how long some games can be. I got The Witcher when it came out and I just barely got to Skellige...
