People are actually happy there are ads? There is some guy in the comments on the whiskey blog that wants ads with his payed subscription?
I understand and accept the ads. That doesn't mean I'm gonna cheer and be happy that they're here; that's just fucking insane.
That guy in the comments would be me. And no, I don't think I'm crazy for trying to support a site that his given me such great content as much as possible. It's not that I like ads(don't really care one way or the other) it's that this is another way to give Giant Bomb more money and help them stay around longer. Personally, 90% of my Internet usage comes from Whiskey Media sites and I just want to ensure they're around for as long as possible.
A good way for them to stay around is to not annoy possible new members with annoying ass ads that make you not want to use the site. You don't mind? Awesome, enjoy, click on them all the time too so they actually get money. You're a minority. People checking out the site will mind. There's no reason for them to use intrusive ads like they are, but I don't care, because I will be using Adblock regardless.
Being disabled doesn't give you the right to be a complete dick.
