@dizzyhippos: I don't disagree with you. I've been months without the Network and don't really miss it, and a lot of the shit WWE does as a company is terrible. I have less willingness these days to deep-dive into the minutia of booking and backstage stuff of wrestling in general. I've started filming and editing shows for a local promotion here in Australia which is doing some pretty great stuff, and it has helped reinforce all the good things about wrestling that I love. WWE and others should absolutely be criticised and called out when they (frequently) wade into the shit; I guess I feel like there isn't much talk about the in-ring product to offset that.

@bladededge: I've kinda stopped coming to this thread for this reason. I haven't watched a full episode of Raw in probably over a year but I like to keep up to date with the goings-on via reddit and youtube. If I were only judging by the GB wrestling thread it's just all negativity/apathy all the time. Smackdown has been fire the last few weeks and NXT is as great as ever, yet even that doesn't really spark any conversation here.

Just started Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice. I was getting frustrated early with some of the "run away from fire" moments but I beat that first boss and that whole sequence was awesome. Everything about the presentation in that game is so good.

Also I'm slowly making my way through Ashen and Below and having a good time so far!

@sahalarious: It's too early to say for sure; the fighting doesn't feel as tight as the Souls games and the weapon crafting/upgrade options appear to be fairly "lite" so far. If you value combat above all else then this might just come across as Diet Souls. For me the more positive tone and streamlined quest log did a lot to pull me in, I'm hooked now!

@theflamingo352: Oh wow, I've totally heard the music evolve already and didn't even make that connection!

I've only just ventured past the border of the opening area and I'm already loving the town-rebuilding aspect. Returning to the town to find a bunch of new stuff under construction is real neat. It kinda reminds me of the Tarrey Town area in Breath of the Wild; people working together to make a new thing. It fits right in with the Souls loop too.

This is the first Smash I've really gotten into and it somehow feels overwhelming and approachable at the same time. I'm super impressed so far.
