It's insipid comments like this that keep my faith in the gaming community low. "
It's pompous comments like these that you should really keep to yourself. And after seeing your written mannerisms, I can tell that you have passionate feelings for either the console or the game, but that doesn't justify your aggressive behavior towards other members. "
It's stupid comments like that where a troll tries to act like the innocent victim that really show how much of a troll it is. LOL THE WII IS NOT CURRENT GEN LOL AND IF YOU SAY THATS STUPID TO SAY THEN YOU'RE A WII FANBOY ATTACKING ME LOL. Spare us the drama.

Edit: Well, I see you didn't actually say the original comment Hailinel judged but I guess you agree with it, so, same difference, since you judge the one pointing out how stupid it is to call a clearly current system, well, not current-gen (I guess the handhelds aren't current, and I guess the PS360 aren't current either, only the PC is?) as having strong feelings as opposed to pointing the strong hostile feelings the other showcased. "
Your logic is so absurd. I bet you felt embarrassed once you realized your false accusation, but of course you quickly acted to try and relieve that embarrassment by trying to make your original accusation stick. You should really take a break.

There's nothing pompous about what I said.  I only said the truth. "
I know you quoted on a ignorant comment, but to say that you are losing "faith" in the gaming community is completely unnecessary and you know it.

Logically it can be disputed in multiple ways, and the only reason you said it was to try and add more "oomph" to you post. And yeah you managed to get my attention, but only in a negative way.
So basically, don't over do it.

I'm neither a troll or the original poster. Apparently you were trying so hard to scour this page of any negative opinions towards the game, that you made a mistake.

" Yeah, exactly. My idea is hardly set in stone, and I think a quick look and a summary of their experience in the main wiki of the game would be cool to do.   They could even start a new video series: Does it hold up?  They could jot down 10 of the most sacred games, ones that are considered heresy to rip on, and see if they still hold up today. It would definitely get people on the site talking.  Any art medium always reveres its classics. Too much attention is paid to the future in gaming, rather than the past. "
That's the thing, a lot of games just don't hold up after a few years. All retro-reviews will do are ruin nostalgic memories and get fanboys riled up.
Classic example, Jeff gave Ocarina of Time (N64) a 10/10 in 1998 but a 8.9/10 in 2007.

Let me define Runescape for you
MMO (already potent)
Browser-Based
Free

It's gives you pleasure and is available where ever there is internet access. It's basically porn except it's not socially disliked.
It's a easily-accesible game so, if your a kid who has parents that won't let you play many games, then Runescape has big appeal to you. Also kids that have these strict overly-guiding parents are not usually the "popular" kids in their school, so where is a great place to have social interactions (although usually crude or primitive) and feel like your part of a community? An MMO.

Now these are just conclusions I got from by knowing friends who have played the game for 4+ years, so you might wildly disagree. Although I will say, if you're going to argue that you played Runescape for a year or two and your not like the description above, then I'm going to assume that you were just following a trend when you were younger.

Sessler is one of the most knowledgeable and articulate guys in the industry, and his thoughts are great to listen to and weigh in on.

He brings up a great point about how a new big console release is taxing on both the the company putting it out and the consumer who is paying exorbitant prices. And then of course the companies have to create exclusive content and features for their own system to secure their share of the market and all these criss-crossing borders are set up that dice up the gaming community.

If there was a new console in the next 2-3 years, as far as tech goes, there would be less of a gap differentiate the current generation to the next generation.

Uhh, I think I will just stick with the concept art rather than the screenshots/the game

Listen to their differing opinions and try and figure out what they don't like about the games that you like.

I value people who don't share my opinions. This is how I can see things from different perspective. Don't be so narrow-minded.
