@dazzhardy: Just saying I wonder how many people are gonna tune into Raw tonight after watching Halftime heat and be really disappointed in the lack of Canadian destroyers and the 20 minute talking segments.
I can't imagine anybody who went out of their way to watch that doesn't already know what Raw is like right now.
I like how there was a huge backlash about how the game has been downgraded since the E3 demo based off one image that was shit quality, then Digital Foundry comes in and finds that the game has actually been upgraded since the E3 demo. Internet gonna internet I guess.
Was there actually a huge blacklash or was this just the press exploiting the posts of a dozen idiots for controversy (as they do) and making the problem worse? I genuinely don't know; didn't bother looking into it.
All of the coverage I saw of the alleged "downgrade" was from people making fun of whatever backlash there may have been. I'm sure there were plenty of people unironically claiming they wouldn't buy it now, but those same people will probably playing the game the moment it goes live.
I didn't think I was hyped for this game. But then I got super wasted last week and pre-ordered it. So I guess I must have been pretty hyped subconsciously? Then again, I pre-ordered WWE 2K19 that same night.
As much as I like the Gargano/Ciampa feud generally, I just want to say I absolutely hate how Candice is portrayed in this whole thing. Reducing her to the doting concerned wife this week being all "NO! Don't fight him" and then dying because Johnny bumped into her is the most eye-rolling thing. Particularly awful because her entire gimmick previous to WWE was "Candice Lerae is tougher than you" and being like a modern Mikey Whipwreck taking crazy bumps and still persevering.
To be fair, everybody is de-powered when in a ringside role. Triple H once sold a baseball slide from a Bella like he'd been shot in the head.
I hate this so much! Okay not really. Mostly I just hate that the stats I racked up beforehand didn't carry over. My win % was likely in the high 90s but now that I can't dominate a bunch of people that barely know the buttons, it's way lower. Oh well. It's probably a better indication of my actual skill now.
First half of the show was fantastic. I had an absolute blast. It was indeed the Ultimate Thrill Ride Trademark. The back half was a depressing slog that only the boringest episodes of RAM could match.
Well obviously. I still win nearly all of my games and all that. It just felt good to be so much better than everybody else. I am glad that I've been able to confirm that I'm not some sort of prodigy though. I was starting to wonder with all the scrubs I racked up wins on.
I am curious what the user numbers are. I'm hoping the slow matchmaking issues I'm having are just due to new game jank because I'm really enjoying the matches I'm playing. It probably helps that I'm overly competitive and so far have only run into one buzzsaw so that makes me feel good about myself.
It took like thirty minutes for my friend and I to get matched into a doubles match, and we just kept rematching against the same people because nobody wanted to have to roll the dice on getting matched up again. This seems pretty normal for games like this at launch (remember Rocket League), so I'm hoping that all gets sorted out pretty soon.
I hate that there's no platinum trophy. Not because I'm a trophy hunter or something, but because I was hoping it would be a relatively easy platinum like Rocket League. I've only got four, and they're all easy, so it would have been nice. I still need the trophy for winning without giving up a point (had two people quit when I was on the verge of getting it) and the one for winning with a super.
