Dark Souls, Dark Souls 3, Bloodborne Dark Souls 2: SotFS

I've completed every Soulsborne that I've started and loved them all. DS3 is the best game of the lot, but DS was my first Soulsborne. The mystery and discovery during my first experience Soulsborne can't be recreated, and for that Dark Souls will always be my #1.

*Have not played Demon Souls or Sekiro

I wouldn't say any of these are "can't miss," but here are a few suggestions:

There are a couple Barcades (literally called Barcade) that have a decent selection of cabinets and craft beers, but I prefer the divey Two-Bit's Retro Arcade for my barcade fix.

MoMA has an ongoing exhibit showcasing a handful of retro games. I wouldn't go solely for the video games, but if you're interested in art, it's a great museum.

Museum of Moving Image usually has a video game exhibit (just checked, it's 60 years of sports video games).

Video Games New York is a used game shop packed full old and rare games and consoles. And, I believe Alex and Vinny made a video of their visit when the East coast office was being established.

Also, if you're into pinball, I'd highly recommend Sunshine Laundromat and Pinball. As the name suggests, it's a bar in the back of a laundromat, and is in a cool neighborhood that's off the beaten tourist path.

Serious Sam is not a franchise that I associate with having memorable soundtracks, but this song from a late-game boss in First Encounter has stuck with me for a decade now.

I really enjoy Bald Move. They put out a lot of content covering film and television. Unlike many film focused podcasters, Jim and A.Ron are insightful without being overly rhetorical.

With the lack of games currently releasing on Xbox One, I'm going through the back-catalog of critically acclaimed games I've not played. The technical and performance issues that plagued the initial release of Fallout 4 on consoles kept me from playing the game. Have the majority of those issues been fixed? Thanks!

It seems like you have the sightseeing/tourist aspect well sorted.

Someone above mentioned Barcade (of which there are a few throughout the city), but they generally serve craft beers that'll cost $7-11. I'd recommend Two-Bit's Retro Arcade in the Lower East Side. They serve 40s and other cheap beer, and last time I was there, the bartender would flip a coin with each beer order and buy you a second beer if you won.

I'd second the Comedy Cellar recommendation. Have a drink at Up and Up while waiting to see if you can get standby tix. Or have some falafel at a mildly famous falafel spot a couple doors down called Mamoun's.

Not the final boss, but I replayed The Great Pyramids level/boss fight from Serious Sam:The Final Encounter over and over solely because of the music.
