@pmurph03: It's a fantastic game! I bought a copy for a friend and he loved it too!

I was definitely a fan of Black Skylands - the loop of that game caught me good

This has got me even more excited to try Library of Ruina. I'm not usually into anime, but I definitely love deckbuilders.

Glad to see Lost in Random getting a little love. I too, thought it had some good laughs.

Unsighted is a jam! I liked the build flexibility that the chip system enabled. For most of the game, I just used guns, after equipping a big pile of "gun damage" chips.

Dead Space is probably my favorite of those (as you called them) action survival-horror games. The visual interface was incredible, with menus popping up in-game and your health being displayed on your back. Also, that stomp! Every game in the genre needs a stomp like that.

With both Observer and Untitled Goose Game, I absolutely agree with your takes. And there is certainly a magic to those old God of War games, isn't there? The sense of scale in those boss fights can be jaw-dropping.

Agree whole-heartedly with your entries about the Ascent and Outriders. It's so unfortunate that Neon Giant couldn't do more with The Ascent, when the music and visuals were some of the best of the year.
