I've been playing UFO: Afterlight (£1.50 on Steam) for most of the weekend.  It's basically X-Com, but with cartoony graphics and a modern-ish UI.  I totally dig it so far.

I took a gamble on a Telltale pack a while ago, and I was pleasantly surprised.  I didn't think any company could rival my enjoyment of the original Sam and Max or Monkey Island, but thanks to Steam's winter sale, I took a chance and I'm damn glad I did.  
 
The only purchase I regret is Supreme Commander 2, which looks like a fantastic game but just won't run on my laptop for various reasons.

The only game I've bought and regret doing it was Lead and Gold, its not that it's bad but there is nobody online playing it.

There are only 2 or 3 games thankfully that I regret buying off Steam. 
I'm generally in control of myself and try to not spend money on things I was not interested in before a discount, although that did happen a few times. Luckily those games were still good and worth their price.

I bought Ghostbusters and I dont want to play it. :(

I don't buy games if I don't know what they are, seems like a silly thing to do when I can just look them up on Giantbomb... the website... about video games. 
Steam has made me buy a lot of games though. But not anything I wasn't at least a little bit interested in before I saw it on Steam.

steam makes me want to buy games that i don't want because they are cheap as shit.... and then i still don't want them.

I bought the two Serious Sam remakes for 7.50 on a whim of nostalgia and am having a blast with them.

I've recently bought lots of games off of steam that I never really wanted but found out that I love them, I'd like to thank Steam for it's amazing deals because at these low prices I couldn't pass up Flotilla, Civ 4 complete pack and Altitude. So I was wondering if anyone else found a game that they had no idea about, bought it and loved it?
