It's just what I needed right now. I don't have the time to slog through 60 hours of Bethesda's latest epic, but big, loud, stupid, and fun is perfect.
This is the first SR I've played, and it's actually much higher quality than I expected. The PC graphics are quite good, the cut scenes are well done, and the end game content is spectacularly ridiculous.
With COD I know what I'm getting, also as a matter of taste I prefer the COD-style of first person gameplay to Battlefield. I like the faster pace, I like the ability to lone wolf it as opposed to having to depend on the numbskulls on my team.
It's entirely possible to ignore your squad and still have a lot of fun with BF3. I did it in BF:BC2, and am doing the same thing this time around. Sure, I'll dump off heals or ammo if I feel like it, but for the most part I'm just running around shooting dudes.
CoD has always felt claustrophobic to me. I just don't get the feeling of immersion BF brings.
