Just wanted to let everyone know that I'm almost finished with an iPhone app that will have each character's move list along with their fatalities and kombo challenges. I'm planning on charging $1.99 (because, frankly, that's what I'd pay for it), and I should be submitting it to Apple in the next week. I'll post a link here when it's finally up on iTunes.

Madden is great for people who are into the details of sports - you need to be able to pick the right play at the right time in order to be successful. NHL is great for those who don't want to focus on what play to run or aren't as serious about their sports games, and want an action packed non-stop singleplayer or multiplayer experience - Madden has a much more stop-n-go feel.

I've bought 07, 08, and now 09. 07 to 08 was heavy on skating changes, 08 to 09 seems to be mainly focused on making the game experience fall in line with how hockey is played in real life.

I think the differences between 08 and 09 justify the purchase, but I could see how others would be just as happy playing 08 instead - they're both great games.

I can play any position but goalie, although IMO I do a bit better on offense.
