After five years I believe it is time to upgrade. Now my questions are,1) do I walk into best buy/future shop pick up a decent gaming desktop that will last me another 2-3 years and upgrade that a long the way?

2) Screw them and build my own PC right now?

Budget: 700-800$ (looking to get a dual monitor set up)

In case you were wondering I got a iMac five years back for school purposes and was not into PC gaming. Now everything has changed and I regret my choice back yet.

I was watching Trails Pig by Achievement Hunter and I was wondering if there is a similar game to Trails on playstation. I am pretty sure it will never come to PSN if Microsoft can help it. I have 40$ sitting in my account and I was wondering what game to buy, so why not ask GB. I have picked up Flower , Journey unfinished Swan, inFamous FOB, MVC 2, and a bunch of other games I cannot remember. I am looking for something that will be fun and have community support which I can have installed in my HDD so I can pop in anytime I feel like it.

Kinda of went on a buying spree picking up a ton of games to play, so I have a few question about the DLC for some of the game I got. Namely Ausra's Warth, Enslaved and Mass Effect 3 (used collectors, came with everything but the codes). Which DLC is worth getting over the others? I may get two out of the three (nothing MP related)

I am thinking about picking up the extra characters for SFxT but still on the fence about that

So I have been without a PS3 for two years, I recently got one 3 weeks ago now. I have a huge backlog of games to catch up on. So far I am beaten AC Brotherhood, Revelations, and 3, Uncharted 3, Batman Arkham City, inFamous 2 (good ending only) and working my way through Saints row 3, Killzone 3, No more Heroes, NFS most wanted, Red Dead, Shadows of the Damned, Dead Space and Baynoetta. So my question is any other games worth looking into? (Please try not to post any open world games unless it is really good because I am burnt out on them)

How is Vanquish, Enslaved and Heavenly Sword?

I just picked up a 3DSXL a few days ago along with professor layton miracle mask ( 3 days early =D legally of course) So I put this question out to the GB community, what games are worth getting? also something using the 3D feature of the system will be a plus since this is the first time I am 3D gaming.

I was thinking about posting this on the forums but not really sure where I would do it, hopefully I get some guidance with this from the users here =D

I have been thinking about making my own rig for the first time in my life. Just felt the time was right, so I got a bunch of questions aside from the normal one which is "What parts are the best?". My budget is around $1000-1300 (is this too low?) I am looking to have a dual screen set up, does it take one graphics card or two? I know I will need a wireless router in my rig, I live in Canada so what site is fast and cheap with shipping the parts?

Could something do wrong while I am putting everything together? Is it easy or do you need a degree in rocket science to put it together? (that was a joke btw but really how much knowledge do you need for this?)

Of coruse I will be using it for gaming, programming (in school for it right now) and make editing a few videos.

After a month of owning my DSi, beating 4 games. Pokemon Black, and all three Layton games. I must say was kinda of let down with Pokemon, not sure why. The last pokemon game I played was Gold back on the colour. But this is not the point I am writing this blog, I write this because of Professor Layton, Playing the game has made me noticeably smarter (but there were some puzzles that really pissed me off) I cannot wait to play the next ones and this will be the reason I will pick up a 3DS (2nd gen and price drop =D)
Now I am playing The world ends with you. Kinda of like it but I since I was switching back and forth between this and two of the Layton games which affected my focus on the game story. I will beat it on day but not now, I am looking at picking up my next game. It is between Mario and Luigi Inside Bowsers Story (24.99), Picross 3D (19.99) and Rhythm Heaven (9.99 I think I saw this price at BB)

I looked at the QL of Picross 3D and I was so confused with the circle numbers and square numbers Jeff was talking about.
Since I play my DS on mute picking up Rhythm heaven might be a waste but it is really cheap to buy.
Mario and Luigi looks good but kinda of iffy on it.

What should I do? Also I do not want to pay more that 35$ for the game  (with taxes and CDN, might look at amazon if it is really cheap)

Yesterday, after walking into my local game store I decided to buy a PSP game. Looking at the collection of games there was nothing that really peeked my interest, glancing over to the left I saw the DS games. I looking at the game, there were quite a few I might pick up IF I had a DS. So I asked the guy there, how much for a used DSi and that was went things went back. I actually started to think about buying it, I spend the next hour and a half thinking if I should buy it and if so what game will I buy first. The first choice was the new Pokemon game black/white. In the end I walked out of the store about 4 hours later, with a DSi and Pokemon Black in hand (I spend the two odds hours playing Pokemon lol)
Now I cannot really stop playing with the features the DS has and when I booted up the store I could not stop laughing the whole time while listening to the music. But the question now becomes, which game is next? Professor layton? Can I jump into the newer game without playing the older ones? One of the many Mario games?

 So there are always moments that stick with you through your entire life either it be gaming, family, friends and so on. Since this is a gaming site  I will post about gaming and comic stuff, the one moment that sticks out in my mind when someone ask me "What is your best and scariest moment when playing a game?"

      First let me state, that this moment is not scary like a monster jumps out of no where but it was equally as creepy. I am talking about Metal Gear Solid 2 :Sons Of Liberty, this was my first fray into the Metal Gear game and Kojima's mind. The part I am talking about is when you (Raiden) get caught, stripped off all your clothes and weapons and you must run around Metal Gear Arsenal trying to find your stuff. If you have played a MGS game you know about the codec call the character has with the support staff they have. Anyways, Raiden gets calls from his commanding officer saying "This is just a game, you should put the controller down and walk away." (BTW these might not be the exact lines he said but I think I am fairly close)

    I was very confused about this but continued playing the game, then I got another call from him and he say "Listen to me Raiden, this is just a game. You should turn off the console and go sleep." After he finished saying that line, my PS2, TV and building power goes off. I sat there are a while very confused and scared, then I heard my mom say, "What happened?" At first, I assumed that this power out was because of me and the game so I never say anything. This happened in August 14, 2003 this is one of the dates that still remain in my head. The next day, I saw that this affected a huge part of Ontario and some of parts of US, it was a freaky week and took me a while before I booted back up my PS2
