As I speak, I am downloading Civ 5 and started playing Minecraft yesterday. So this is going to be my last blog as I say good bye to everything I love, the sun, the snow (okay maybe not the snow) Reading people post about spending close to 20+ hrs on a single game! which I find insane. Minecraft is another which makes no sense to me but I cannot stop playing it and trying to find new materials and so on. Also I have picked up the Humble Indie Pack #2, if you dont know about it look it up because it is good five games and it is for a good cause. So over the span of two days I have managed to get seven games for around 40$ ish

Okay now that i have finished GOW: Ghost of Sparta, I really need to find a new game that is coming out or already out to play. I want to keep up Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep but for some reason every time I think I should I right away think of the reason I should not. The reason were wait for GOW and the price, well mostly because of HMV and them pricing it at 44.99$ (in canada) but if I walk a little bit more to Best Buy or something I can get it for 39.99$. So I was wondering, If i could get some recommendation of new game to play. I enjoy Fighting, Action/ Adventure, shooters is a maybe and turn based is a no. I cannot stand it. 

After weeks for listening I have finished year two of the Giant Bombcast. It is interesting to see the evolution of the podcast from seeing it when it was called Arrow Pointing Down, Jeff and Ryan talking to each other over Skype. Which at first took me by surprise but it is fun to see how things got it start, I starting doing this because I have a lot of free time on my hands. This was because of my PS3 dieing on me and me thinking if it was worth replacing or get a new one just because I wanted to get a break from gaming for a while. First I starting listening to the Dunk Tank by Rooster Teeth, it was funny and did its duty, burn time and keep my mind busy. But I listened to all of the cast in around a week or so and after a day or so I decided to start listening to Giant Bomb and become an active member in the community (more or less), even tho I have actually signed on to Giant Bomb since the start back in July '08. 
 
Now that I know that the end is here in the sense that I do not have around 50 hrs or more waiting for me to listening to. Also that I will have to wait once a week to actually listen to the next one. But here is to another two years for listening to the Giant Bomb and more evolution in the coming years.

The way I got into God of war series was by mistake. I was around 15-16 and my dad took me to EB games and told me to pick out a game. This time I was not deep into gaming and had no idea about the releases and so on as I know now. Looking around I saw a cover which I like which was  God of war, thus began my love for the franchise and the creator David Jaffe. When GOW2 was announced and I watched the 15 min demo of it on the gamespot site I was hyped for the game to come out. Getting my hands on it and my excitement for the game was well deserved, then came the announcement of GOW:COO for the PSP. The ability to play as Kratos on the go was something I have never thought about and was quite excited for it like the last God of War game. 
 
Watching the 10 min demo and getting to play only managed to get me more excited and hyped for the game to be released and getting my hands on the game quelled my hunger for the game till the next game in the series which everyone knew was coming. By this time I have immersed myself into everything gaming, my likes and dislikes for games have evolved. Once GOW3 was announced and demoed, I could not wait till the game came out but something changed with this game. I am not sure if it was because I got older and my likes have changed but after playing the E3 demo that was put on the PSN store I meh about it. Do not get me wrong, I was still hyped for the game and picked it up day one and finished it in one day. The story was amazing but after finishing it and thinking about it, I felt underwhelmed by it. 
 
Then came the announced of GOW:GS, I felt once again meh about it. After playing the demo, I still had the same feeling of meh. I think mostly because I had no idea in what direction they will take the game. But after watching the latest trailer showcase the story where Kratos fights his brother. Something which every GOW fan has been talking about since they unlocked the video about him in the first game, after five years of debates, arguing and rumors still will come true. Now I have regained my hype for the game and cannot wait for it to come out, it went from a week one back to a day one buy.

This is the first (of hopefully many) blogs that is going to come in the coming few weeks. I first joined GB when it first went live, back in July '08 but I never really used it a lot aside from visiting the site once in a while to check a few things. Recently I have decided to listen to GB podcast from the start, from the Arrow Pointing Down to the most recent episode. As of the blog I am at 09-15-2009, it has been 2-3 weeks since I started and I have been having so much fun listening to all of them. 
Well the main reason I started to listen to the podcast is mostly because of the fact that my PS3 died on me and I have not replaced it since. Hence I have had so much more time on my hands but that means I also spend more time with my PSP. Thus playing games I never have and also causing me to get a bigger memory stick from 2GB to 8GB and as well as me upgrading my PSP 1001 to PSP 3001. I got my PSP since launch five years ago, I felt it was time to upgrade since I have been using it a lot more to play Street Fighter Aplha 3 Max, Bluzblue and listening to the podcast. 
 
Because of GB I have become a huge fighting game fan because of Jeff and a RTS fan because of Brad (also played Protoss for all my games because of him =D) 
Hopefully I will write more but I am not a person who feels the need to write about every small thing that happens so we will see how it goes.
