Top 10 Nostalgic Games (Kinda in order from when I played them)

List items

  • My first game ever, and one of my favorites. The Wizard you have to escape from is one of the better villain's in games due to the amount you hate the guy. Finally tricking him into eating the poisoned cookie you give him is extremely satisyfiying. As was exploring the countryside of Llewdor. Due to the game being hard for me I only recently just beat it.

  • Another fairly early game for me, The game literally frightend the shit out of me. In certain areas of the game the killer who was stalking the mansion would be seen walking outside the house and leaving dead bodies for you to find. The finest of Sierra adventure games (and the most unique in my opinion.) Also for all the feminists one of the first games to feature a strong, likable female protagonist.

  • While being on the Genesis, I played this on the SNES. The lack of being able to save and a 3-6 hour game made this a hard game to finally beat.

  • First game I played that had a sort of serious and adult storyline, Like Jeff I never played MGS and this was my stealth action political intrigue game of choice.

  • My first and only Zelda game played it was also my first RPG and Open World game. It's amazing actually how good a game it is and how much they were able to fit on the SNES cartridge.

  • The Best of the Crash games and my favorite, Warped had a ton of shit in it from Bike racers to bazookas to crazy bosses. In some ways Naught Dog hasn't ever topped the greatness that was Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped and I would love to see them return to this franchise.

  • Looking back God this game was shit, but it was my first PS2 game and at the time looked amazing. The graphics were way updated from PS1 and blew me away. Just goes to how sometimes that not all games have to be perfect to be memorable and special.

  • My cousin gave me this game while I was on a trip to Iowa, he couldn't figure out what the fuck you were supposed to do so I thought I would take a crack at it. I remember getting to the first boss and quitting the game because I had never played an JRPG and didn't know what the fuck a heal potion was. I picked up the game some time later figured out what the heal potion was, and proceeded to play what was probably my favorite game of all time. The only Final fantasy I have played and will probably ever play.

  • Bought this game based on the cover, and while it has nothing to do with hillbillies I love the music and crazy power ups you get in your spaceship.

  • While just being released last year, the game difficulty and tone reminded me of playing more difficult games on the PC and SNES, and somehow turned into Nolstalgia.

Ahhhh, Phalanx. I haven't thought about that in years. I might have to start looking into playing it again.
