Hey!  I just got Starcraft II a couple weeks ago with no background in real-time strategy games whatsoever.  (I don't know how I've managed to avoid them for so long.)  Basically, I'm having trouble pacing and anticipating the other player's moves.  Are there any good tricks to make these things easier, or do they just come with practice?  Thanks!

I like this.  One of my biggest (and only) gripes against Mass Effect 2 was the fact that,, if you have enough Paragon points, you can talk your way out of making any difficult decisions.  This really diminished most of the emotional impact this game could have had on me, because if you take out the big decisions, not much actually happens aside from the main plot.

I'm guessing they are gonna be for RDR and Jeff and vinny for ME 2.  So I'm not expecting much of a battle if any between Ryan + Brad. "
That's probably true for the overall GOTY, but they still have to deliberate for PC GOTY...in which case, I'm assuming Ryan will be fighting for Civ 5 while the others push Starcraft.

I'm so excited for these podcasts...I'd never heard such in-depth discussion and dissection of video games until I listened to the GOTYcasts on this site.

Dave, you and the guys run a spectacular website.  It's got personality that a lot of sites lack, and it never loses sight of what we love about Giant Bomb, which is, in fact...just that.  Even though the site's growing, you could have fooled me into thinking it's the smallest little video game website on the internet by how you address the community directly about these changes the reasoning behind them.  If I can afford the membership (I am, after all, a lowly college student), I'd be more than glad to contribute for...well...just because you rock.

By the way, the HD video tests look wonderful!

I tried Battlefield 2 when it came out on consoles, and I was absolutely terrible.  This game still intrigues me, though.

Correction: he's a great Western RPG guy.  From the White Knight Chronicles Quick Look, and from the guest appearances of Dave in some of the Endurance Run episodes, I don't think that would fit him at all. "
True...but maybe this could be his gateway into JRPGs?  :P

I know what you mean...I got the game for Christmas, but I feel like a lot of other people must have.  The most essential concept, staying together, is completely lost in some people...I'll try playing it again when I come home for spring break.
