  • KOTOR and Neverwinter Nights are the only Bioware games that I feel are worth playing
  • Final Fantasy XIII is a great game
  • Final Fantasy VII is not a great game
  • Half-Life 2 is bland
  • The Curse of Monkey Island is the best in the Monkey Island series
  • The Dawn of War series is better than the StarCraft series
  • Splinter Cell: Conviction is one of the best Splinter Cell games, and it is a stealth game
  • Diablo III is not an RPG
  • Lords of Shadow is the best Castlevania game
  • Crysis 2 > Crysis 1
  • I liked the over-the-top edginess of Warrior Within
  • Prince of Persia (2008) trumps the entire Sands of Time trilogy
  • ODST is one of the best Halo games, if not the best
  • The Gravemind is a cool character
  • I think Devil May Cry 2 is an okay game
  • The new Dante is better than the old Dante
  • BIoshock, in terms of pure gameplay, is awful
  • I don't like the original Deus Ex
  • Borderlands 1 and 2 are not funny
  • I feel that Duke Nukem has always been terrible, even before Duke Nukem Forever

Tribes Ascend is one of my favorite FPSs, free-to-play or otherwise. Also, I've played over 200 hours of free-to-play Lord of the Rings Online, so I guess you could say that it's one of my favorites. I've logged quite a bit of time into Dungeons & Dragons Online as well, though the restrictions on that game can be pretty annoying; still one of my favorites. And from what I have played of the beta so far, PlanetSide 2 will surely be one of my favorite free-to-play games. I'm excited for it to launch in a couple of days.

Man, this game looks cool. I saw it on Steam, but I had no idea that Klei are developing it. The art style looks reminds me of something that Tim Burton would come up with. I'm definitely going to keep an eye on this. I might even shell out some cash to get into the beta.

@Ravenlight: It's a goofy, multiplayer focused FPS about time-travel that plays very similarly to GoldenEye and Perfect Dark. At the time, TimeSplitters 3 had one of the most customizable multiplayer suites I had ever seen in a video game. At one point I made a team deathmatch mode where one team played as ninja monkeys, and the other team played as giant calamari, and the only weapons available on the map were bricks and baseball bats. Oh, and the map I used for the mode was a disco club.

Good times.

@Clonedzero: From what I've heard, Mount & Blade was made by only a few people, so I say it counts. And I agree, that game is glorious. Siege battles are awesome.

I've never had any big problems with GFWL. For me it's been about as faulty as any online service. I don't mind having to use GFWL and other things like it, but if I can get a copy of the game I want without anything like GFWL, Steam, Origin, etc. attached to it, I will choose the DRM free version (even though achievements are kind of cool).

Hmmm, not sure how much they cost to make, but I loved Torchlight 2 and Space Pirates and Zombies. Oh, and Super Meat Boy was awesome.

Edit: D'oh! I forgot about Bastion! Shame on me.

I don't think that Halo 4 is a terrible game. It's very well made, for the most part. However, I did find it profoundly disappointing. I've been playing Halo since the beginning, and when booted up Halo 4, it finally dawned on me how little the series has changed over the years. The incremental improvements to the gameplay weren't enough to keep me interested. I was basically going through the motions while fighting The Covenant. Even just dropping The Covenant would have been enough for me to hang on to the game. But they're still there... Still there. I'm glad that people are enjoying it, really I am. But Halo 4 doesn't offer anything that I wanted out of a new Halo game. I would rather go back and play through the original trilogy again for the sake of nostalgia.

Dragon's Souls? There are dragons in those games. I think Dead Souls is the obvious choice, though.
