Nobody comes out of this mess looking good that's for sure. Clearly something very dodgy happening around the finances with the CEO of ZA/UM, but that doesn't excuse the bullying that happened with Kurvitz. I'm not surprised Chris Bratt wasn't satisfied at all with Kurvitz basic dismissal of the complaints ZA/UM staff had raised.

I love Disco Elysium but yeah, "Death of the Author" means at least the game is out there for everyone to experience and form their own judgement.

I mean the fact that he's paying for Twitter is in itself a red flag to start with. But yeah his "explanation" just comes across as excusing "BasedCon". There's absolutely nothing there condemning what the organization host has said/written, just calling it "unfortunate".

Agree with ZombiePie that Curse is also my favourite Monkey Island game. But El_Blarfo is correct that as Murray is in the trailer, it does suggest that the game might in some ways acknowledge Curse etc. Maybe parallel universe gags or something.

All in all I confess I am extremely hyped; Ron Gilbert's Monkey Island 3 is genuinely something I thought would never happen, and getting people like Michael Land back to do the music and Dominic Armato to voice Guybrush all sounds amazing.

It's very crazy but my biggest concern is Microsoft establishing a de-facto monopoly across a large section of the video game business in a similar manner to what Disney have managed to achieve in the film industry. Sounds like Kotick will be stepping down once the merger is complete with a golden handshake, which is disgusting but at least he'll be gone.

Quite saddened by this honestly, as they've been a stalwart studio for putting out good PC ports. I can't imagine Sony will have them working on PC versions, unless they seriously pivot. I mean, I'd love it if they were Sony's in-house PC porting team but I very much doubt that'll happen.

I was a GameSpot member since 2006, then a Giant Bomb member since Launch Day in 2008. I was a GameSpot moderator between 2008 and 2014. I've been watching these guys for almost 15 years. I've literally grown up with Giant Bomb. Now I'm in my early thirties and although I don't use the site as much as I used to I still check-in regularly, but I have so many fond memories of all the content over the years from so many people past and present who have help to create one of the nicest and most unique websites ever.

Someone else said that Giant Bomb is a family and that's absolutely correct, and although some family members are leaving they will always be our family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to Vinny, Brad and Alex for giving me not only entertainment, but distanced emotional support. For always being a way to lighten my mood, no matter how dark. I wish you all the very best with your future endeavours.

Obviously hoping for the best but sites moving owner always make me uneasy. I remember when GB was acquired by CBS Interactive I was quite worried but it actually turned out quite well. I suppose the main concern might be the new owner would want to merge GameSpot and Giant Bomb together, when they've always been very different entities despite covering similar topics.

I really like the Haven Island map. One of the best of the game, up there with Miami. Lots of different things to see and do, lots of potential. Doesn't feel small like the Bank did. The plot still ends on another cliffhanger but I continue to be invested.

I like the level. It is smaller than I was hoping for, and it is a bit disappointing it only goes to Mastery level 15. The game plot is marginally extended by the level, but only in a minor fashion (this is not like Patient Zero, the main game story is continued on from Isle of Sgail). But there is a fair amount to do, funny interactions and the challenge of a very security-camera heavy map is interesting. No doubt they'll add more feats and challenges as time goes on. Overall thumbs up, but it is the smallest main level (discounting Hawke's Bay which is more of a tutorial map like the training missions).

With regards to price I think Hitman 2 as a whole is still overpriced, and if I hadn't already snagged a good deal on it I wouldn't be going in at full price. But IO have and continue to make a good game which I would unquestionably recommend when it goes on discount.

Edit: This is the best thing from the new level and I hope they go back and add this to old levels.
