Anticipating the Destruction of the Electronic Three, 2010

The battle will not be fought with out swords, but with our hearts and minds. These are the games which I'm personally interested in at the Electronic Entertainment Exposition, 2010. There are one or two other games I have neglected to mention, but this mostly covers it.

List items

  • The first Deus Ex is a seminal game. The second wasn't great and was mainly disappointing. If Human Revolution can retain the same vibe the first game managed to create ten years ago, it should be great.

  • I have never played any other Fable games, since I don't own a 360. However, the series has looked interesting, so Fable III has to prove it's worth against something like The Elders Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

  • Of course, the original game is already out, but LeChuck's Revenge Special Edition has already been announced. The Special Edition of The Secret of Monkey Island was excellent, so I am looking forward to more pirate hilarity.

  • I loved Fallout 3. It was an excellent game, if slightly buggy, with a great sense of scale. If New Vegas has the same scale, but a better and more engrossing plot, it could be even better.

  • Never played the first Dead Rising despite wanting to, so to know that a PC version of Dead Rising 2 is coming is wonderful.

  • Again, I should really play the first Dead Space before I get excited about any sequels in the works, but being similar to System Shock 2 is usually a good thing.

  • The original Mafia was an excellent game, with a wonderful story and an interesting world. However, it has been a long while coming, and Mafia II has a lot to live up to. Let's hope it can.

  • After the release of Portal 2 was pushed back to 2011 because of quote "safety concerns", I am extremely interested to know what Valve Corporation has up it's sleeve. I expect that it's going to be something unexpected.
