My Week in a Nut Shell

SCHOOL
So school is a bitch, well, the next few weeks are and going to be. My Midterms start next Thursday, and I get a break for the long weekend, and I get to start them again on Monday, and finish them on Tuesday. So only four days, which does not sound bad, but on my first day, I have exams' for my two hardest classes, French and History. Both are AP courses, and though I hold a B+ in each class, I worry about the exams for them, seeing as though the tests are usually quite hard, and I dear not think of what the largest test of the year is going to be like. Been loaded with homework, and have a History Project Due Thursday. Though I probably will have a snow day tomorrow, I already have it near completed. I guess that's one good thing.

Prince of Persia is Pretty
Played about two hours of Prince of Persia over the weekend, and holy Santa shit, that game is beautiful. I mean really, good looking! The combat is also really fun, and don't see how some publications did not like it. The 'parkour' type running on walls is still a blast, and the frustration is taken out of the game because of Eleka. Seriously, this game is hard, seeing the amount of time that I die, but Eleka always saves me. Without her, I think I would have broken another controller.

Chrono Trigger is Good
So after hearing so many good things about Chrono Trigger from many people, I decided that since it came out on the DS, I would give it a shot. Wow, this games story is suprisingly good, and has quite a bit of twists and turns. The gameplay is also very goods, and stands the tests of time. Also, its on a handheld. I sometimes hate playing a console RPG because I have to sit down on my couch, and I can not put the game to sleep when I want to play another game. WIth my DS, I can just turn it to sleep, and get of the bus. Awesome.

I Got 1600 Microsoft Points
And I don't know what I am going to spend them on. I was going to get Braid, but had the ending spoiled for me, so I see not point in getting that at fifteen dollars, and am pondering N+. I will try to wait for the Burnout Packs to come out, but probably will buy something out of no where, so I can play a game with a friend. I let you know what happens. But give me some reccomendations of games I should get in the comment. : )

Casltevania Order of Ecclasia is a Bitch
Wow, this game is good, so good that it rivials Symphony of the Night, with the return of two hand combat. Go out and get this game, though be prepared, this game is extremly hard!

Working Out Ugh
So my New Years Resolution is to lose twenty pounds. I am not fat by any means, but losing a couple of pounds does a man good. I always have eaten well, with salads, vegatables, water/crystal light, and laying off the sweets and cola, but working out had never been my thing. So far I have told myself I will try to run three miles five times a week. With my school schedule, I have gotten one day so far. Wish me luck

Now I must go, dinner time! :D

Happy New Year

Happy New Year! I know a lot of you guys celebrated late at night, while I fell asleep at 10 o' clock. Maybe it was all the Egg Nog, with whiskey that my uncle spiked my drink with...Party animal, I am.

2008: A Year in Review

In 2008, many things happened. The global economy has taken a nose dive, The US elected their first African American President, Numerous celebrities have passed, Wars  in the Middle East go on, and numbers of great viral videos, movies, games, music, have been released. Here is my year in review.

Game of the Year
There have been numerous games released this year. So many great ones, that choosing just one, and saying that it above the rest is nearly impossible. But the one game that stood above the rest, the game that I put up to eighty hours into in the course of the year, with amazing online, and offline, graphics, and gameplay, my Game of the Year has to be awarded to: Burnout Paradise.
Burnout Paradise was a game I was very weary of before it was released. Having an open world, where you just drive around, to get to your races, scared me at first. This was not helped by the utter lack of a crash mode that they said would not be appearing in this game, unless you count Showtime. Though when I got my hands on the game, I was flabbergasted by the amazing graphics, and just how much fun it was to drive around the city itself, not including the already founded greatness of the races, and other events in the Burnout Universe. This was helped by the awesome online, and Criterion's obligation to continue to update the game free of charge. Burnout is probably one the best racing games ever created, though still not as good as Burnout 3: Takedown, Paradise makes a great effort, and that effort pays off.

Movie of the Year
There have been a number of great movies this year. Just like the Video Game Industry, it is hard to pick just one movie that stands out above the rest, when a number of them were so great. Though again, when looking at the one that I enjoyed the most, the choice is pretty obvious. My movie of the year is: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. A surprise to many, who probably though Dark Knight would win this, true I did enjoy Dark Knight, and it was the best movie of the year, until this movie surprised me. Brad Pitt had an amazing performance in this movie, where he plays a person who is born old, and ages oppositely, until he is a baby. I will not ruin anything else with the plot, but Benjamin Button's is a must see by anyone.

Viral Video of the Year
Now here is my final award. With the shear lack of great music this year, I will forgo the Music of the Year Award. Instead, I will move on to, and finish up with my Viral Video of the Year. Again, many video were created or released this year, that made me laugh, or hold my ball sack, in the sheer pain that a person was going through as they hit their testicles with hundreds of rounds of paintballs. Though one made me laugh so hard, that there was not question of which was the best of the year. My Viral Video of the Year is: The Australian Party Boy. Just watch, and enjoy the stupidity of the anchorwoman, and the hilarity of the the 'Party Boy.'

Thank you for reading, and have a great 2009. Lets hope that next year could reach at least a bit of the greatness of 2008.

We Wish You a Merry Christmas, We Wish You a Merry Christmas!!!

So, wow, its all ready December 16th, so I complied some things that I would like under that good old green tree this year. Not too much, seeing as all I really want is a break from school, good food, and some time with my family. But none the less, here is the goods, for all the materialist bastards out there.

12 Month Xbox Live
Yup.

Lost Odyssey
I technically have this game already, got it last week but my sister bought it off me, and is wrapping it up, for me. : D

Chrono Trigger DS
I heard this is an 'ok' game from a couple of people. Need to dust off my DS anyway.

Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia
Another year, another awesome 2D side scrolling Castlevania game.

Netflix
I need to catch up on some TV shows, and why not take advantage of it being on XBL now?

Some Shirts and Socks
Ugh, yeah.

I should be picking up Prince of Persia this weekend, after I sell Fallout 3 to a friend. Sick. Later dudes, Merry Christmas, Happy New Years, and don't drink too much Egg Nog. Because, I, will.
