Hello all! My name's Tyler. I usually publish my reviews on GB as text but since I began making video reviews, I've yet to share any with the GB community.

If you've got a minute (or 5) to spare, I'd not only appreciate the watch, but ANY and all critiques.

Thank you ALL!

P.S. Still no luck posting my review in text form. Site seems to be having troubles with it. Will attempt again later. Thanks again everyone!!

@benspyda: It is indeed, but I feel it's been largely misunderstood. The way that it works isn't a simple countdown from the word go, but rather an ever ticking clock that is granted more time from in game events (defeating a boss, completing arena battles, side quests (yeah, those are back), etc)

It does however take away from the freedom to really explore every inch as you please though, which is an understandable gripe.

@slag: That'd be why it says Preview, rather than Review, and why the last bit asks for you to keep an eye out for the full review to come upon the games release. :)

@supermonkey122: The AI is very competent, but the game is much better enjoyed with a pal because of how much focus is put on strategy in attacking. You can command the AI to an extent to alleviate this, but it still comes off as much less enjoyable.

Seriously? I reviewed both the first games as 3/5, easily being noted as generic and limited- and i post a blog about my time with the demo, and this is the attitude i get? Why thank you, kid sir.

To be fair to everyone please use spoilers accordingly!

For me personally, the first game came from nowhere. I was not up on the world of video game media to any extent, let alone where I am now, and was casually logging onto my Xbox360 one afternoon to find a new release in the demo section named Bioshock. Figuring the concept sounded awesome, I jumped right in, and from the moment I set foot in Rapture, I was anticipating the games full release. Luckily, It wasn't long at all, and I was able to enjoy Rapture for what it truly was, a masterpiece of a video game world, filled with not only exploration potential, but reason to truly want to explore. Never in another game have i encountered a character I found truly fascinating to the point I still think back on them, and that game was FULL of them.

From the moment I entered Fort Frolic, Sander Cohen drew me in like, well, a moth to a flame. I still wonder if it isn't some underlying mad man inside me that leads me to be so interested in such a person, but the concept of his relationship with Ryan unraveling before me and later being further explored in Bioshock 2- The whole series of events from the moment he stopped you from proceeding until you, blood covered or not, left Fort Frolic never to see him again...until....

As for Bioshock 2, It's not so much a game i look back on for telling a story that blew me away, for me it was the natural evolution of the combat system meeting a side story that further explored Rapture, but on a fun side note, one of the best memories of my life is the fact I played Bioshock 2 along side my significant other at the time, and the constant sense of wonder we both shared over the world of Rapture and its inhabitants.

Share! =D

Eventually playing the original a dozen or so times, It now sits atop my list of favorite games of all time. Without question, even though the world is going to be explored in such magnificent new ways, I am equally if not more excited to enter Columbia.

Tomb Raider. 4/5.

Great platforming and sense of adventure- Though the story can be completed in about 10 hours, the world Crystal Dynamics created is plenty inviting for return visits.
