"The official policy is to only include games which have commercial and/or retail connotations. Battlefield Heroes and Runescape qualify under this condition because they have payable options and the developers are as such making a profit from those games in some manner. (I can't comment on Mythos since I don't know anything about it.) This isn't really a prejudicial slight against free games as much as it is probably just limiting the scope to something that's workable from a database and audience demographic perspective. Yeah, we've all played great flash games and other freeware wonders, but allowing them into the database would create some huge headaches for those running the site. It's much easier to verify information on the games we cover now than it would be for freeware, flash, and other such games due to a number of different factors which go into the article approving process. Suffice it to say that it's due more or less to logistical reasons than anything else that you don't see those sorts of games covered on here.

Thanks for the response :) I always assumed something like this was the reason, It's nice to have clarification though. (Passage is still freeware, one that slipped through the net I guess. That said, don't take it down, it is worthy of being in there.)

I'm happy with free games being accepted. Like i said in my submission for Desktop Defence, I have spent more time playing that than some console games. It's just what do you define as a free game? and at what point are they not valid?
I don't want the site full of flash Tetris clones but still, there are some valid "free" games that are worth having entries for. Passage being a great example of one (and Desktop Defence I would like to think)

So my request for a Desktop Tower Defence page got rejected.

Moderator Comment: We don't approve free games

Well there are pages for Battlefield Heroes and Mythos etc. These could be argued as "free" games
But more than that is a page for the game "passage" which is certainly a free game. I don't want these games to be taken down, They're all great games.
I just don't see why just because a game is "free" it is no longer valid.

Would anyone mind having a look at my blog?

Game Reviews In Under 500 Words

I just want some praise, criticism or just general feedback :). I'm doing it just for hobby purposes for now, but I just thought I'd throw it out there and see what people thought.

Thanks :)
