This will be pretty great value when it hits the bargain bin a few months after release. I kinda enjoyed the first one in that mindless gameplay kind of way but damn they really haven't got any better with the voice acting, have they?

I suspected as much with the drug angle. We're still very backwards when it comes to that. I guess it would have been fine had you not specifically gained power from taking drugs. Like Max Payne slamming down narcotics to stay alive is okay. You can be an addict but you can't imply fantastical superpowers? Okay!

As for the anal probe thing it's pretty juvenile humour etc however you're free to go out and buy either Human Centipede movie on DVD or Bluray. They both have R18+ ratings in Australia. As does Salo and a bunch of other movies where it's much more clearly "implied".

If you look at some of the things available with a MA15+ or R18+ then compare them to a game where it's all done in humour it isn't hard to see how flawed our ratings system is.

I'm not for sexual assault being trivialised but I do take great offence at being told what I can or cannot watch/play/read/listen to. I'm not even thinking about the content here. It's more the fact that we're being treated like children, not adults who can make our own decisions.

Remember back when the OFLC announced they'd introduce the R18+ rating for videogames? Remember how everyone cheered and applauded thinking that adults would be able to make their own decisions on what games they buy/play?

Well, Saints Row 4 has been refused classification.

R18+ ain't so great after all it seems. This just means we'll have to have someone in the US/UK gift it to us on Steam or import the console version from the UK or NZ. That'll be cheaper anyway. Oh well. :)
