Really like the idea of donating to Ryan's wife, but the amount of extra money I'd need to spend on shipping and production of a shirt that I can't wear (I've got kids) means I'd rather wait to see if there is a direct donation option at some point.

Love the shirt, but hopefully there will be other means to donate.

Donated to that Childs Play link, but I'd also really like to donate to his wife. As well as being a terrible personal event, deaths in the family can cause huge financial problems.

OMG I can't believe this. I feel so sorry for his wife and all you guys at GiantBomb. That's just so cruel.

You know, I would have actually liked to see the first couple of months sales figures if microsoft hadn't changed their mind.

I liked how the talk going into E3 was that people were giving Sony a free pass on the DRM stuff even though they'd certainly be doing exactly the same thing as Microsoft....

Then when they came out and said they'd do none of that, the cheers seemed very appropriate :)

I quite like this. I only just learned that developers payed gun companies, and living in the UK where there essentially aren't any guns, I have no love for the arms industry. In the last few years I've started making 'ethical purchasing decisions' with games (didn't buy Black Ops 2 - because Oliver North is a douche, or Shadow Complex - because Orson Scott Card is a douche), it's good to know I can still buy some action games without feeling like I'm (directly) funding an industry I don't like.

Oh man, I only just learned that these were removed. You have no idea how long I'd spent trying to get the first post one. AGH!

Anyway, I guess spoilers are off now, so can anyone tell me who the "most important person in video games" was? I tried everyone obvious.

Yep, PS+ is an amazing feature for new owners (something like 12 really good games 'free' at the moment), The latest addition Crysis 2 is nearly 20gig by itself though.

317. Indie bundles are great for padding it out, I'm sure I average less than $2 per game.

ooh, I just found out about this. I'm a 3d artist/animator (I prefer inorganic, but I can do just about anything). Also I used to be a Level Designer. I don't have a huge amount of time for following discussions at the moment, but if there are any assets that need made I can churn them out in my lunch break. :)
