Chiaroscuro, the use of contrast between light and dark for dramatic effect. The cutscenes seem to do it quite nicely.

Some kind of celestial event. No - no words. No words to describe it. Poetry! They should have sent a poet. So beautiful. So beautiful... I had no idea.

You had me at the preview picture, Stacking.

Weird, I actually managed to watch the thing, came back to see if the ending was fixed and it's broken again.

Damn straight you were! You can go tell Estragon to stop waiting now.

 I love the smell of Game Room Quick Look in the morning.

@sofacitysweetheart: I haven't been called pre-teen in quite some time haha. And by playing the game, you mean completed the game, rather than played the game at all, right? Because that's what they've all done; they've all played at least two hours of the game.
But hey! Whatever. We obviously disagree. Here's hoping Bioshock 2 makes it onto the users' Games of the Year lists, eh?

@sofacitysweetheart: Hurray! I always wanted to be a mini-Jeff.
Sigh :\ Ignore the links I posted of their Xbox Live gamercards wherein they've played a portion of the game (and Brad played five or six hours of a pre-release copy where all there was to be added was polish). If they didn't think the first three hours of a game would be good, why would they like it seven hours in?
I dunno, I don't throw the term fanboy around lightly, but if the shoe fits...

@sofacitysweetheart:  They've all played the game, just not to completion.
Look; you've probably got to the last level in the multiplayer, bought all the DLC packs. You seem like an independent person with strong opinions. I don't get why you need validation from Jeff, Ryan, Brad and Vinny, that THEY need to like it, and if they say otherwise, they're lying, or biased, or pandering to their userbase. Why else would they decry such a brilliant game? It can't be as simple as them not thinking it's not so hot anymore half a year on.

@sofacitysweetheart:  4/5 is good, not great. 7 months of games better than Bioshock 2 have come out since then; the bar has been raised. The Bombcast crew liked Prototype when it was released, but some games just age faster than others. A sequel that didn't add much to an already beloved game is one of them.
I realise you like to get up on everyone else's case every time Bioshock 2 gets mentioned and isn't instantly adored, but calling people biased because of it is a bit much.
