I disagree with Jeff and his opinion that Red Dead is a bad game. I actually think it's one of the best games I've ever played and quite possibly the best game this generation.

I haven't read the thread, but it's my understanding that the trillion dollar coin is a simple way to solve the Republican obstruction in the House. The debt ceiling is agreeing to pay a debt. It's money already spent. You can't refuse to pay a debt. You are not asking for more money to spend. You are asking for permission to pay for what you already spent and the US is obligated to do so.

The House Republicans believe they can continue to hold the US economy hostage in their crazy game of chicken. I say do whatever is needed to prevent that.

Make sure to fully explore the undead asylum until you find a doll. I believe it's in the cell you were in at the beginning of the game. You will want that doll. Trust me.

Also, I advise you to NEVER FEED ITEMS TO THAT SNAKE GUY. The souls you get are not worth the time and you can possible destroy items/weapons that are unique and that you might need later. You can buy at item called a Bottomless Box (from blacksmith around the church) and deposit items into that while you rest at the bonfire. Those items will no longer appear in your inventory, but they'll instead be in that box. If you want those items back simply rest at a bonfire and open up your bottomless box.

At this point you are merely delaying the inevitable that is Sen's Fortress. People are suggesting that you go to this and that area because they already know what's there and know the limiters that are currently placed on those areas. A normal playthrough would never have you visit areas that require foreknowledge of those areas. Only knowledge you wouldn't get in the game itself would give reason to seek out those areas or the items found there.

Also, make sure to check item descriptions. The boss souls are used to make unique items (giant blacksmith in Anor Londo) that will be lost to you in that current playthrough if you use them to get souls instead of giving them to the blacksmith. White Sign Soap stone is used to get summoned into the world of another player. The Black Separation Crystal is used to end co-op by sending yourself back to your world or the host using it to send you back to your world (also send yourself back if you invade).

There is no need to defend violent video games. What proportion of the US population plays them? How does that compare with other countries that play violent video games? How does that compare with the gun violence in those countries?

At the end of the day the NRA throws out these kinds of arguments (they blamed everything but the kitchen sink and guns during that press conference) because they want people to blame anything and everything, but the guns themselves. I don't understand why you wouldn't tackle the root cause of gun violence. The "gun" part is in the name. When people talk about violence in video games they are actually talking about how it relates to gun shootings after all.

Nothing happened to prompt that question, but it kinda got in my head right now and I figured I should ask. It's said that you shouldn't punish people in the future for the "sins" of people in the past, but the way I see it its equally bad to ignore the past and the lessons learned from said past.

I feel that I was a much warmer person when I was younger and more naive. I grew out of that pretty quickly and now I don't see how my personality can allow myself to feel the same way I used to. It's kinda sad when you think about it, but that's how it is. I can see it's a negative, but just how negative is it?

That show is awesome, a very, very weird kind of awesome.

That might be it then. I didn't think it was going to be mostly talking, but I've watched shows that are entirely talking (slice of life genre) so it didn't really bother me. It was nice to see the planning that went into each fight and the execution of the plan. The ending rampage was a great resolution when compared with every other fight in the show.

Hold the phone. Clem can actually make HER OWN DECISION on what to do with Lee in the final scene if you say nothing? So depending on the choices you made during the game she will decide to mercy kill you or leave you to die? I should rewind the scene and see what choice my Clem would make.

To get back to the undead asylum you need to do a few things. First you hop off the elevator at firelink that heads to the undead church. You will notice that you can safely walk off to explore the rest if firelink. Do that and you'll see what to do. Just don't attack the crow in any way. He's your ride.

Yes the shortcut will take you to new londo ruins. Simply take that elevator and walk out and either go upstairs or downstairs and the elevator right next to it will take you right to firelink. You will have to take that shortcut once you beat the boss in the cacoon.

in a weird funk tonight where I just keep dying in stupid spots, think Ill leave it for another day. Those worms in the ant-hill / cocoon thing in the swamp are imcredibly annoying, died several times form just falling (lol) going up again to the firelink shortcut, died to a huge undead dragon in a cliff, died to the big guys with rocks in the swamp in combination with flies, running out of arrows... yeah, just one of those days when you just keep fucking up over and over again, bumming me out so I think its best I leave it for today :P

and I did save Latrec from the jail in the Parish if thats who youre talking about...he goes around killing people I need you say? well fuck lol

Have you successfully used the shortcut? The undead dragon on the cliff leads to another area in the Valley of the Drakes. The shortcut is right in front of you coming out of that tunnel in blight town. You cross that little bridge in front of you and then open up the steel gate.

Lautrec will kill the firekeeper, but you can bring her back to life later. It doesn't really matter that she dies at that point because after you beat the boss in that cocoon (you can ignore all the enemies inside the cocoon and the praying guys will leave you alone) you wont be going back to firelink for a long time.

IMPORTANT

Don't ever kill the guys crawling on the ground with sacks on their backs who occasionally pray. You might accidentally kill a very important NPC. They are too slow to pose a threat and most will completely ignore you. The only ones who will even try to attack are in a fire/magma place.
