Completely unoriginal introduction

I'm a 26 year old Australian who works IT and plays a lot of video games to provide the overstimulation I need to counter balance the boredom of my regular day. I've been gaming for two decades now, starting with the beloved Master System back in 1989 as a wee lad. I've been a Sega fanboy since then, but after their fall I've kept a more open mind, although Nintendo still have to do a lot to really impress me.

I spread myself pretty thin in terms of genres I like, at gunpoint I'd have to say strategy games are my favourite, but I'm also a big fan of shooters, sports, fighting and puzzle games. I don't really get the time for RPG's anymore, but I did plenty of hours in Final Fantasy through my childhood and am currently suffering thanks to a RRoD ending my time with Mass Effect prematurely.  My favourite system of all time is the Dreamcast, current generation would have to be the 360, but I own pretty much everything else within reason. I also have a very hard time throwing anything out or selling a game, so my collection has become large enough to construct a pretty nice fort, something I plan to do should I ever get the time.  The Dreamcast collection alone could create a pretty sweet barracks.

Favourite games currently are mostly PC, thanks again to the RRoD issues, and my roommates PS3 also being incapacitated. Napoleon: Total War, Solium Infernum and Left 4 Dead 2 are the current list, and I was stuck into Mass Effect, Trials HD, Shatter and Wipeout HD before the next generation crapped the bed. Rugby League 3 is also taking some time, but you wouldn't know what that is.

Other interests for me are mixed martial arts, rugby league and a lot of sports in general, board games and gambling. Sports teams I support: Parramatta Eels, Green Bay Packers,  LA Angels and anything New South Wales or Australia. All time favourite fighters are Forrest Griffin, Kazushi Sakuraba, George Sotiropolous, Mirko Cro Cop and Wanderlei Silva.
