This game is as good as shooters (especially indie shooters) get to perfection. This is a wonderful mix of fantastically well done twin-stick shooting, and amazing all-guitar music. Have you ever crafted a supreme jazz guitar solo by blasting robots? No? Then play this game! It's really different, innovative and like no other twin-stick shooter I've ever played. If you love music and/or twin stick shooters, you should play this, if you love fun, you should play this. If you enjoy life, and are loo...

Lets Go Robbin' 0

This game makes you want to become a bank robber; not a quote that the Daily Mail may appreciate, but a truism for Payday: The Heist. Payday is a four-player online shooter, in the mould of Left 4 Dead, with police and SWAT replacing the zombies, and special SWAT replacing special zombies. The basic premise is that the players, instead of fighting their way to a safe room, pull off a number of varied heists, each with it's own personalities, but all with the same basic purpose. A Bastion of Greatness 0

I would recommend not reading this review until you've completed the game, since any spoilers would significantly worsen your experience of this game.    So, Bastion, it's my Game of the Year 2011, for many reasons. If I had to classify Bastion in a genre, it would be an ARPG, but it is far more than that, it is a story-driven ARPG, with a wonderful art style, and a wonderful gimmick (it IS a gimmick), of a narrator who sounds like Frank Zappa, telling the story of the game's protagonist, the Ki...

A game that thinks it's funny...and is, for once. 0

Dungeons of Dredmor is a game which I bought yesterday for one reason: It's cheap (3.99 euros on Steam), and I needed something to play. Little did I know, I'd stumbled on what I consider to be one of the best indie games of this year. Dungeons of Dredmor is a dungeon crawler, it describes itself as a roguelike with graphics, but even with all the difficulty that entails, it is also a joker. Were it a person, it would be the one who played practical jokes on the teacher at school. This game real...

Is that an LSD relapse? No, that's Audiosurf 0

Audiosurf is a game in which you control a craft, racing along a track created by a song of your choosing. It is a media player cum puzzle game. The game creates a track based on any song in your collection or, if you choose, you can play songs from a CD. The game also comes with the soundtrack to Valve's The Orange Box, including the legendary "Still Alive" the end song from Portal, by Jonathon Coulton. In addition to this, there is a feature called "Audiosurf Radio" which allows you to play fe...
