I hope Sony realizes more than Nintendo that solid launch games carry system sales for the first couple quarters, and get their shit in gear, most importantly with Uncharted.

Seeing the launch game list for Japan, it seems much stronger than what we saw with the 3DS.

Seems like they had some issues with the game, curious if they're reviewing the PC version.

The article linked in the OP is quite neutral with the way it presents the review. Using phrases like "frenzied criticism", " the brunt of Edge's ire", and the "ever-controversial Edge".

During the small village portions, I got some huge Oblivion chills. The awkward passing conversations, the aimless wandering, the nonstop axe-sharpening.

Doesn't mean I'm not looking forward to everything else the game has to offer, I just hope it's the fact that I've seen similar guided footage before, and not that the character interactions are as shallow as in Oblivion.

Yep. My previous username was a glitch from when the site had Facebook Connect. It accidentally created a new account, and since my previous account wasn't that old, I just started using the new one anyway. It was, unfortunately, just my full name with not spaces or capitals.

It's sad to see business being done this way, and it's extremely nice to see writers being outspoken internally, even if they are rebuffed by people who'd rather not upset advertisers.

Sometimes sites like VGChartz that can't rely on the support of their fan base have to lean heavily on advertisers for their paychecks, but I don't think that excuses the kind of strategy being employed here.

Is it unrealistic to hire a brilliant PR representative to explain to companies who wish to advertise that their brands won't receive preferential treatment? This is just giving up.

I think the only good way to pull something like this off is to have an extremely well versed and understanding DM. If anyone in the Whiskey Media team has such skills, that would work, but other than that, might not be the best idea. Maybe they could get Chris Perkins if they let him pimp the new DnD stuff coming from WoTC?

Yeah, unfortunately, Canada has recently come into dire straits with regards to renting games. Rogers Video has mostly closed down, if not completely, and all Blockbusters in Canada are set to close by the end of the year. The debt from the American chains was lumped onto the Canadian ones, and it's impossible for them to recover from it, so the only thing to do is to liquidate stock and close down.

The only thing I have that's left for renting games is http://gameaccess.ca/ , which from what I've heard, is slow, and hard to get new releases. And it's also kind of expensive.

This is an awesome looking setup elsux0r. How long have you been brewing for? And what's the best way you find to go about sanitizing and cleaning everything you're using?

I ask because I'm about 1.5 weeks into the primary fermentation of my first batch of mead, and I'm going to be moving on to beer after that's banged out. The hardest thing, the most annoying perhaps, but also the thing that I paid the most attention to, was making sure everything had boiling water poured on it, and was sanitized with sodium metabisulfite.
