GHOST RECON: FUTURE SOLDIER- Why it is (and maybe not?) a must

Just a quick little blog about a game I can't get off my mind! GHOST RECON: FUTURE SOLDIER------- 8/10 for me.

I've played my fair share of shooters. But nothing, and I mean NOTHING, compares to the experience you will get from GHOST RECON: FUTURE SOLDIER!

Now I say this with both enthusiasm and confidence. Simply put, it is truly an awesome game! Though there are some cosmetic and yes, some game play flaws, the game is no doubt fun. But if you're the type that enjoys lone wolfing a shooter or you seek to be the "hero", this game is sure as hell not for you.

After many hours of online multiplayer I've seen just about all the game has to offer, to some degree. Intense fire fights, engaging teamwork, and fluid-like movements are just a few of GR:FS's peak entertainment values. Some of these don't work out how you want ALL the time however. Of coarse all of us shooter fans are guilty of blaming faulty mechanics or a lag spike every now and again, so the game isn't all wrong. An example of this is when sometimes you may try to move about the field of battle quickly. Bad Luck Brians will sometimes get caught on objects or maybe your cover system isn't working as well as you'd like. I have had this happen a few good... well... BAD times.

The third person angle is somewhat sad. At least to me. It is in fact something new, but I prefer a first person shooter like Tom Clancy's: Rainbow Six Vegas II. With the exception of a game like Dead Space or Gears of War, third person doesn't belong in the genre. But hey, it's a preference.

All of these positives (and negatives) translate into the campaign.

BUT! The campaign is 10x better than any other I've played in a while. Even though it lacks a stable, consistent story and the horrid facial graphics during the almost pointless cut scenes make me want to puke, the game play is so far more advanced, and different, I'd say it's just about amazing. And the fact that you can share this awesome experience with 3 other people with a few difficulty modes just makes it that much better.

Oh, and don't get me started on the replay value of the thing.. You will actually want to go back and play levels again just to reach a certain grade of precision and stealthiness.

So basically what I'm saying is: Go out, buy the game, play the online for a bit (if survival is your thing, then try Guerrilla mode), then turn your attention to the campaign. Because it is truly something to be appreciated.
