Games I've played in 2011
I've now almost caught up with the older games on my Xbox, thoughts now turn to playing games I haven't even started and a few classics (maybe) thrown in for good measure. This is what I've been playing in 2011.

The first game I played in 2011 and my first achievements for the new year too. Finally finished all the collecting of sun and moon medals so it is just hotdog missions left.
I do like the dogfighting, even though I'm terrible at it. Pretty nearly done with it.
Just finishing off the remaining puzzles and extras as I finished the game last year.
165 hours last year and the pain continues into 2011. Still need to pick up the last achievements.
Not much left to do but probably still a good few hours to play before I'm done.
I didn't know there was a sequel to Hotel Dusk until someone asked me for some help and I went to do some research. Very similar to Hotel Dusk early on and already a few nods to it.
Every F1 game I've ever played, I've had an obsession of doing every race on full race distance. Maybe I just like to test myself and my levels of concentration.
Urgh, I don't know what I'm doing with this entry. I gave up on the FIFA series back in the 90's. Suppose I have to put in the time to finish it now.
New computer up and running and no cones out of peoples faces or squares blocking half the screen.
Testing the capability of my new computer. It can run a shed load of leagues and can reasonably run a game with 80,000 players available. Looking forward to going in depth with the game.
I'm still playing through this game. I go through spells of playing this for a bit and then not playing it for months. I will finish it soon. I think I'm close.
I've not really put a great deal of time into the original Rock Band. I played predominantly on my brothers profile when it came out and then played Rock Band 2 mostly after that. Still plays well as you would expect.
Only played it to get the viral achievement. Realised pretty quickly that I hadn't adjusted the settings to deal with the HD lag after I changed TVs a few years back. Whoops.
Finally finished the car platinums on the Arcade mode and that leaves the bike platinums (if I want to throw controllers in frustration) and the Platinum Plus achievement.
Trying to get 100% on every level hurts my brain.
Laying the groundwork for a big hit on the game later.
Just have the speed run achievement left. I just hope I'm good enough.
I seem to die a lot. Maybe I just suck at the game.
Easily one of the best quiz games you'll ever find.
Finally got a copy of Picross 3D and I've played through the tutorial section. Addictively good.
Played through the easy mode and I can see why they went bigger and in 3D. It's nice but the animation of a completed puzzle is pretty small and blocky.
I've played a bit of poker in my time and got quite good at the lengthy tournament poker in the past. Hoping to recapture some of that and get those achievements.
My niece likes the series so I showed her the game on the Megadrive. She likes seeing the trains go round.
Showed a friend so he could decide whether or not he should purchase it. It was the first time I had played it and it seemed pretty good. Just need to figure out the best way to take corners on the game.
Again, showing a friend so he could decide whether to buy it or not. Did a Hot Pursuit event with both cop and racer and got top of the speedwall in one of them. Am I actually good at the game? I doubt it.
Had a quick go to test it out. Going to hit it hard at some point.
Played a small amount and I'm pleased at the direction it has gone. Haven't played a Tiger game seriously since 07.
Yes, it is a game that I played.
The 3 episodes so far have been pretty light on puzzle and seems more interested in telling a good story.
Played the 3DS version. It's Street Fighter 4 on a handheld, which is pretty cool.
Didn't play it for too long but there doesn't seem a whole lot there. Will play some more though.
Played the 3DS version. Seems like fun from what little I've played of it.
It really is the story that is the more important thing here. The gameplay is almost throwaway.
Tried to help a friend but had trouble connecting to him. Thems the breaks.
Helping someone get the glitchy airstrikes co-op achievement. It's been a while and I can't even remember if there is a run button.
Played to help a friend. The handling was looser than I remember.
Woo, I've played Excitebike on the 3DS. First time I've ever played Excitebike.
Block vaporising good time.
Very simplistic but I find it entertaining
Again, the gameplay was easy but the story engaging.
Helped a friend with some achievements. Takes some getting used as the handling is super loose.
With most of my older games finished now, I've been picking up the odd achievement here and there on some old rhythm games. With the ultimate goal of completing these games, I've got some practice ahead of me.
Another rhythm game on the list. I enjoy Guitar Hero a lot less than Rock Band.
I should really get around to sorting out all the song export stuff.
Just became more and more insane as the series went on.
Yes, I played Halo 3 and yes, I'm still terrible at it.
Part of a team going for a rare achievement. Hope it works!
Got invited to do the online achievements so I'll be playing through that. Should be fun.
Part of the 3DS ambassador pack. A lot of the golf games back then were very similar.
I think I'm missing something because there must be a way of going back up as it would be impossible to complete levels otherwise. I'll work it out.
At the Eurogamer Expo, they had a Green Hill Act 1 speed challenge. 29 seconds was easy to beat and I got greedy. Went for the 21 second run I did in the past and failed.
Again, played at Eurogamer Expo. Feels good and I S ranked both levels I tried.
Played a time trial and an AI race at the Eurogamer Expo. The BMW for the time trial was not well balanced but I really liked the handling of the Suburu I drove in the race. That was well balanced.
As part of the Onlive experience, this is one of the games. I've never played it before so I had a quick look at it. You can tell it was 2006 when this came out.
With Forza 4 coming out, it seemed like as good a time as any to start Forza 3.
Imported myself a copy of this game as the Euro version has the London Life RPG removed. Crazy.
Played a local co-op game of the XBLA version. The MegaCD version is longer and a bit more challenging.
Again, played a local co-op game. Strange game. All those levels and some of them were really short.
It really is amazing, when you think about it, how similar this and Streets of Rage are.
I'm part of the Ambassador program. I must be missing something because I thought I was good at F-Zero.
Yep, it's Mario Kart. Some funky menus.
I thought I had better get started on Dirt 2. The cars feel pretty similar to the original Dirt so I didn't feel that it was too much different. The online achievements weren't unlocking or unlocked at weird times.
Very basic and pretty much tells you what to do but it is so easy to lose hours in this game and not realise it.
