I'm really enjoying it. Yes it leans heavily on nostalgia, but I think they were pretty clear about that from the get go. I think it shows a lot of promise for expansions, user generated content and mods.
Also I don't see nearly enough recommendations for Day of the Tentacle as well as Indiana Jones: Fate of Atlantis and Loom. Furthermore, does The Cave count? And what about Walking Dead?
@crajon: is there a number over 100% that I can agree with you by?
Ben Kuchera is being a real baby about this, especially in light of his former stance on emulators. Kain made a mistake, owned it, edited it and does the right thing, more people should be defending him.
James Bond & Joust for Colecovision, followed by Mail Order Monsters for C64, Archon, Beneath the Root, 7th Guest and finally Master of Magic which basically consumed me until Star Craft
@Snail: maybe like 75%, but I am seriously trying to figure it out. I have limited LOL experience but am trying to convince some fiends who play LOL to try GOME.
Ok there are some obvious parallels between League of Legends and Guardians of Middle Earth characters. Would anybody care to help spell character comparisons out?
I started with Hildifrons and he is a beast especially against non-strikers. His only drawback is that he has no good escape mechanism, only reling on his ultimate to get out of trouble. In 1-lane Hild is unstoppable as you can funnel the entire opposing team quite effectively.
Ori is a pushing beast. The combo between his As it Is Written can decimate enemy waves with ease, again not a really good way to flee but his shield is pretty nice in a pinch. seeing as how this is a MOBA and playing dying is for fools, I would recommend that anybody just starting pick either of these guys as thay can hang back and be super effective. Of course evey noob will run for Sauron, Witch-King and Legolas which are all dangerously fragile.
It is sad that this game is not getting it's due, matchmaking is rough but the gameplay is solid and the depth of customization is quite interesting.
