I disagree with the reason you gave.   It was pretty silly and it has zero impact on how I use their service.  I say fanboy both because of that and because your mentality seems to be that only one DD service should be used to the exclusion of all others.

I long ago realized the futility of arguing with fanboys.  They will go out of their way to be "bothered" by the most inconsequential of things.

Steam is better, but that doesn't stop me from using D2D when there is a better price there on something I want.

It's slightly less convenient, but I haven't really had any problems with D2D.

I guess it's a different price in your region.

Are all the games actually showing up as less than $10 for you?

Thanks for the input, everyone.  I  kind of figured it had to be something like that, but it still seems really weird to me, mostly because I've never noticed this issue with previous graphics cards I've had.  It's possible that the reason I didn't notice was that those cards didn't already run hot in general like this one does.

Wasn't it said quite some time ago that there were plans to have a page edit history similar to most other wikis where one could see all of the previous versions of a page?  (Specifically I mean user created and edited pages on particular games.)

I'd like some Guild Wars 2 news, like anything gameplay related (not story or business-related) that hasn't been revealed before.  Seriously, just...anything.  It's not going to happen though.  NCSoft isn't even attending as far as I know.  So, other than that, I don't know, whatever.  I guess I'm what one might call "jaded" about games, having played so many of them.

I've had this card for quite a while.  First off, I'll just say that I'm aware of the fact that it's rather routine for these cards to run quite hot.  However, there is something about it that seems really odd to me, and that is that it tends to start running really hot on, of all things, title screens.  An example of a game where it does this is Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3.  If I pause it and look at the menu screen, or just leave it on the title screen, the temperature goes way up, and the fan starts whirring away.  During the actual game, even at the highest settings, not so much.

Here's the real kicker though:  It even does it on older games that an older and far less powerful machine could run just fine.  It does the same thing playing Railroad Tycoon 3 - just fine during the game, starts running really hot on the title screen.  Anyone have any idea what's going on here?

Beyond Good and Evil is a great game. I bought it nice and cheap on Steam.  However,  I don't intend to pay $50 for a game that lasts around 10 or 12 hours when I can get ones with a lot more lasting value for the same price.  It's not a matter of if it's worth the price or not per se, so much as it is a matter of whether or not I can get more for $50 with another game.  That doesn't mean I want them to pull a Wind Waker where they put in a bunch of tedious nonsense just to pad out the game length either.  Game developers need to come off of this notion that every retail game needs to be released at the exact same price.  A few have, but most simply don't get it.
