I know a lot of people here would be interested in these topics so some of you might like to see this interview. http://youtu.be/S9zjOTz0enI

If you don't want to click that link, just search Youtube for Matt Chat, or his name, Matt Barton.

The interviewer is kind of stiff in this one and is usually much better.

He has several episodes, but a lot of the small details come out in this last video in the series. If you like this one, I also recommend looking in his back catalog of videos. The ones with Susan Manley talking about Sierra was really interesting and she gives an example of Lucy Bradshaw's (the head of Maxis) creative ideas of the past that paints a picture of why SimCity and that studio have turned out as they have.

I'm not affiliated with him in any way, I just thought they were some really informative interviews that almost no one watches.

For those of you concerned, I've got a site dedicated to collecting DRM information about PC game releases.

I've put a lot of work into making it more usable and prettier lately. Kind of limited by only using free services, but it seems to work pretty well.

Check it out here at www.drmdatabase.net.

No accounts or anything like that are required.

Not unless I get a Surface and end up liking it. I don't want to lose my start menu, DVD playback, or Media Center since I use my pc as a pvr.

Okay, there's apparently a few threads for this already and I'm a dummy at using these forums. Move along I suppose.

Howdy do. I don't hang out in the forums much so I don't know how much people are interested in sale threads. If it's bad form, feel free to throw some tomatoes my way.

Amazon is having a pretty big sale this month at least until the 14th with new deals popping up at various times. I think linking directly to another forum would probably be gauche, but there's a thread on CheepAssGamer if you want more info. Some notably deals though...and most of the deals can activate on Steam. Check them first to be sure. There's quite a bit more on sale now and being added throughout. Just thought my fellow gamers might be interested (also because the pc forum was too quiet.)

I've got that Will Work For Fun article bookmarked to read this weekend now.

For the Tera stuff, I think people are making too big a deal out of it. When it comes down to it, these are just drawings, cartoons like you might find in (insert random anime here.) They are not humans. They didn't use motion capture on little girls swaying back and forth. They are code and colors from the artists imagination. I don't play games because they remind me of things in real life, but even if I did, they are still just games. Violence in game isn't real violence. That's not real blood. These are not real people. They're all just digital daydreams.
