@cloudforest: Wasn't part of the whole delay with Dance of Dragons because he couldn't figure out how to get the characters where he wanted them to go? Seems like his biggest problem has been knowing the ending but not having clear beats he has to hit to get there. He just writes then realizes "crap I want to get to point B but I'm written myself into a hole"

It really bummed me out when he cancelled convention appearances in November to finish working on the novel. Either he scrapped a lot again, lied about how much he had done, or is working on clean up drafts now and will be doing press tours in November for the book.

I feel like the show's seeming random killing of characters and changing storylines could lead to their own storyline knot and send the show into a nosedive

Has @alex ever said why he voted against the first mission? I get the feeling he just didn't fully understand the rules then just ran with Rorie's logic of "Alex is crazy"

I'm starting to wonder if I would have liked this movie more if I hadn't seen Daredevil until after seeing Avengers. Avengers felt like there was no threat at all and was just a "we need the team up movie now" kind of situation. As these films have gone on with multiple released each year, I'm finding myself less and less interested. Sad but true.

If you want a cheap SNES and don't care about coloring you can try a pawn shop or yard sale around you. There are small stores cropping up called Mega Replay that sell retro games. The one near me has a couple SNESs for $45.

As far as games. I would add the following to your list and MentalDisruption's: Secret of Mana or Mario RPG (if you want ANOTHER RPG in your list), Super Metroid, Star Fox, Turtles in Time, and Mega Man X.

I want to say @brad played the wrong card in the second round but @rorie points to him before the card is played so he could have played it just to mess with brad.

Sounds like you just aren't into the typical comic book hero story. Dark Knight was more of a crime film that happened to have Batman in it than a Batman film. I go to the ones with heroes I enjoyed when I read comics. I think a lot of Marvel films aren't the greatest but I still plan on seeing Avengers because RDJ is the shit. You should check out Daredevil on netflix. It's probably more up your alley.

@yesiamaduck: I was hoping that the episode was just slow and boring for everyone and my third read through of the series hadn't killed the show for me.
