More people then you probably expect. Just pointing out it is a badly optimized game, and if you can run CoD4/MW2 it doesn't mean you can run this. Which I assumed would be the case.

" @H4xlike: Eh, I still disagree. They won't be undefeated on their way to Diamond, but there are PLENTY of bad Platinum and Diamond players out there. If someone practices a build such as 3 rax and 4 gate and smooths it out as much as possible and learns to "transition" out of it (ie - expand and add 3 more rax or a couple raxes and a starport) if the first attack doesn't end the game, they can easily get into low Diamond. There's a reason even Day9 made jabs about a player doing nothing but 4 Gate and being the "best player in the world". (No such person exists of course.) "
Yeah, but if a player can get one or two build orders down pat and have a good macro game I would consider him relatively good. You are right though, they don't belong in diamond or plat, and many are. Those divisions don't have the prestige they should have. Like in WC3 if you saw a guy with a crazy high level you knew he was good and it was an impressive feat.

Ah yes, responding to a sweeping generalization with another sweeping generalization. Classy. :3 Anyways, there are always those people who are going to complain/rage about something when they lose. Realistically, ranks don't mean as much as they do/should as extremely simple builds such as 3 rax and 4 gate can be pulled off by just about anyone, given enough practice, and you can EASILY get into Diamond league with those two aforementioned builds. I mean at some point you'll hit a wall in which people you play will be better than you and will know how to counter those builds quite easily, at which point they'll have to either change things up and learn new builds and more about the game, or keep bashing their heads against the wall with that one build. Take it all with a grain of salt. I had a guy once, when he lost, said it sucked that he lost because I was a terrible player before he left. I was a little upset for a few moments until I realised that in effect he was just dissing himself. If I was a terrible player (I freely admit I am decent, maybe even "good", but I am by no means a top tier player) and he lost to me, that just means that he's an even worse player. So yeah... just keep on keepin' on duder. "
You can't get into diamond on those builds alone, specially now when everyone knows how to counter MMM. If you did you are a good player. Diamond however def needs a cleansing, there really isn't much diff from the normal plat and normal diamond player, at least in my experience.
