So i've been thinking about what my game was of 08 and its really hard. I think thought i brought the group down to 3 which are MGS 4, GTA 4 ,WOW WOTLK. So while i ponder over these 3 for a while i think i speak about the games i didn't pick starting with Left 4 Dead.

The reason L4D isn't in the top 3 is also the same reason why i nearly didn't put it in the list at all. You see when i made this list i knew L4D would'nt be my game of year even while playing it more over the past 2 weeks. You see at some point in L4D i just went ok so this is it. I said it in my review that compared to everything on the list even castle crashers for that matter there just is'nt enought in there to keep my playing. All the games on the list i see having a replay vavle of say near 3 or more months meaning i can see my self in these 3 months play these games quite a lot while L4D I don't. I think L4D is a great idea and the gameplay is fun but I just can't see myself playing it again and again for 2 or 3 months in its current state. Tbh it nearly made it into the list for most dissapointing game but i decided agains't that in the end

                                                                                                                                                  



LIttle Big Planet was the game i think i may have spent the least amout of time with in the list and reason much like L4D it just get old after a while. While not as bad as L4D, little big planet after a while just gets kind of boring, sure you my get luckly and find 1 or 2 great levels every so often but gets annoying after a while just playing crappy level after crappy level. I guess thought this is what happens when you give people the tools to create stuff. Even so there was not else quite like Little Big Planet last year, it was by far the most orignal game to come out and its cute design and just all around colourfulness which you don't find in many games these days made it stand out which  does make it one of the top games of last year.  


                                                                                                                             
By far Smash Bros Brawl was game i really wanted this year and when i found of Europe got scewed in the release date i could'nt wait. So as soon as it was released in the US i imported a copy right away. So why is not in my top 3 Let me say along with Burnout that both were in my top 5 but compared to the other 3 it just was'nt as good. It still the best Wii game out and will probs stay that way for the rest of the Wii life but when i compare it to the others well lets just say in a race where there gold , silver and bronze the guy in 4th did really well but just was'nt as good as the top 3. Burnout was much the same case to.
                                                                                                                                             

Its odd because i thought for a while Castle Crashers might have been my game of 08 but again in the end i had to compare it to the others and while i love the gameplay and style i just can't give it game of year much like Brawl and Burnout.  So as you see i always knew it would be either WOTLK, GTA4 or MGS4 in the final list mainly due to the fact the blew everything else away. Now i have to choose which is my top game of 08 which is actully harder then i thought it be.

Even thought IMO i thought 2008 was the year of underpreforming games my top 3 proved that in a see of ok and crappy games there were some massive hitters this year i guess i just thought there would have been more. Ive been playing GTA again on the playstation to see what it like again and i'm going to try and get around to playing MGS4 again this week to make a desison but i think its now much like most other people think a race between GTA4 and MGS4.
