Games I probably should like, but don't, and why.

There are lots of good games that I like. There are also lots of good games that I somehow don't like. This is a list of the latter.

List items

  • I really tried to like this one. I tried it at a friends and was instantly turned off by the "floatiness" of it all. Later I bought it because I thought that I might have judged it a little too soon, but no, I still didn't like it. The weapons just don't pack any punch, and everyone floats around. Bleh. Also, I didn't find the story to be any good at all.

  • I just don't find Gears of War entertaining. Yes, it's a little fun with a friend, but I'd rather play some other co-op game instead. I found the story to be pretty weak, and the enemies are basically bullet sponges. Also, the online multiplayer was not to my liking, because nobody ever seemed to die when I put an entire clip in their chest.

  • I tried to get into it, but I didn't like the whole look of the game. It sort of looks too sterile. I don't really know how to explain it. Also, in my opinion the aiming was terrible. I could have done it so much easier with analog sticks on a controller. I gave it a fair shot with a few hours of my time, but I ended up just being bored and annoyed at the controls.

  • To be fair, I only played this for a couple of hours, and it was on an Xbox 360. The thing I really didn't like about it was the dull environments.

I plan on buying Fallout 3 on PC and give it another shot, as I really like Bethesda's other stuff, and people generally say that this is a great game.

  • This is like all the other GTA games, only in HD. I honestly don't get why it scored a 10/10 or 100% on GameSpot and so many other sites. It's not a perfect game! Personally I found it to be rather boring, and not much different than any of the other GTA's.

  • I found it to be a good platformer, but I didn't feel the need to play it again after a few hours. It just didn't stand out, and the planet jumping stuff didn't quite do it for me. I don't know... Maybe I'm just being weird.

  • It actually was pretty fun for about an hour. Then I basically thought "wait, this is the entire game? Why am I doing this?" The game got real repetitive real fast, and it didn't impress in the story department, so that was it for that game.

  • I was really looking forward to this! I bought it just to be surprised that I didn't really care for it at all! Yes it was Mario Kart, but somehow it wasn't Mario Kart, if any of that is understandable. I played it for a day, and then I didn't want to play it anymore. Also, the wheel controller was really stupid.

  • This is supposedly a good game. I mean, it has a score of 87/100 on metacritics! Then why do I absolutely hate this game? It's one of the worst games I've ever played. Okay, probably not one of the worst-worst, but the fact that "everyone" else seems to love it just makes it so much more of a disappointment!
