Ok, so this is a pretty recent game, in fact I don't think it's out yet, but I saw a video of it being played in the last year, maybe PAX or or E3 preview:

  • Turn-based squad game
  • Isometric viewpoint
  • Brightly coloured, cartoonish style
  • You have a scout, a heavy, a sniper etc. Each with special abilities.
  • In the video the mission was set in weapons factory of some sorts and you could activate switches to move the big missiles on their tracks, this could crush a bunch of enemies and was also needed to make a path through the level.
  • Towards the end of the level a bunch of shield-bearing enemies appeared and could only be damaged from behind

Think that's it, oh and it's not Invisible Inc. (previously Incognita)

Thanks in advance.

Edit - Found it: Antisquad - seems pretty good for £5. Bonza!

Dark Souls, nothing else.

On sale on Steam at the moment.

Dark Souls, Dragon Age:Origins. Baldurs Gate 2. Witcher 1 and 2. PROBABLY MORE BUT LATER.

I second all these.

Well thanks Razer!

Shady guy sold me the schematics for the Naga - £50

Bought the laser, accelerometer, weights and cables - £80

Paid for materials and time on a 3D printer - £100

Just about to start building my own mouse when I read this - Priceless!

No way I was going to spend £59.99 on actually buying one.

Ages ago I saw a video of an Indie game; it featured a private detective (I think) who had to navigate around the interior of buildings, the unique twist was that he could connect the circuitry in the building to achieve objectives such as opening doors, turning off security cameras, starting a lifts, etc. it was used to avoid guards and get into areas that were off-limits.

I am pretty sure it was a QL:EX as the designer was playing and even he got a little confused when he wired far too many switches, doors and lifts together. But I can't for the life of me find it.

I am curious to see how the development is going, but... for that I need the name of it.

Can anyone help?

@Grimhild: Shadow Watch is a bit old now, but it was a lot of fun, could scratch the itch while you wait for XCOM.

C++ - Typed, compiled, powerful, high-level and object oriented programming language

AL - Low-level instruction language, generally used to interact with micro-processors etc.

LUA - A scripting language, can be used for prototyping or extending, is also used for writing plugins etc.

That should be enough for you to work out which is the best choice, also a quick Google/Wikipedia would have also have elicited the above information.
